One thing that Sabres fans seem to be ignoring is that Eichel seems to be quite a douchebag. Also each time I have seen him play, he seems to be a puck hog that tries to do it all himself and gets his team in trouble doing it. There's no doubt he is skilled but I don't believe the hype on him being a better prospect than guys like Stamkos and Tavares were and I also think that putting a db in a locker room with a guy like Evander Kane will lead to issues.

Not everyone in the locker room is going to be a good ol ontario boy, as long as the leadership is solid it probably won't matter.

This is just like the few sabres fans who convince themselves that Eichel is better than McDavid. Fans who are watching him play with blinders only looking for the moments where he screws up.

People say that Sid Crosby is the best player since Gretzky - Toews and Lindstrom have impressed me more, accomplished more, and imo have had greater impacts on their teams. You want to say they played with great players - kane, yzerman, keith, datsyuk, seabrook, kronwall - fair enough but Pens are not that bad either with Letang, Malkin, Gonchar, Staal, Fluery and (at times) Hossa, Iginla. Crosby is one hell of a player but people that think he's above and beyond better start counting rings again in 10 days
