Ehrhoff is one of my main targets I want the Avs to go after. LHS that the Avs desperately need and can fill the role with EJ on the Top pair short term until Bigras is ready. Moving him down to play with Barrie on the 2nd pairing would be his long term spot in my mind.

Giving him a 4year deal around 4-4.5m I think is fair and won't hurt you having a guy like that with that contract on your 2nd pairing.

Sekera would be awesome, but I think if he doesn't get resigned by the Kings he is going to be way too expensive. Him, Green, and Franson will be 5m+ for them all and just can't swing that deal this year.

Petry getting 5.5m, Sekera will at least get that now too. The market is set now for those 3rd on the depth chart kind of guys

I would go after Malcomb Subban as a top priority. Remember Grant Fuhr, well history could very well repeat itself here. I realize he has no nhl on his resume yet but two solid years in the AHL and being stuck behind Rask makes him available for a price. His bloodlines make his chance of being great more realistic. PK is a stud and younger brother Jordan will be too. I say make it happen!

MacKinnon is great, last season he had below shooting percentage for a guy who gets as many shots on net has he does, less than 5%. Later in the season his numbers were spiking bc his shot percentage was going back to the norm of around 8% for guys like him.

Johnson and Kucherov are great talents. But do they have ppg talent? I think MacK might have the most pure ability to be a ppg player, just needs more time to figure it all out

That isn't our top priority. We have two guys that will be solid in the AHL this season and at least one should challenge for next year for NHL back up. We might be able to walk away from the draft with a goalie that could be like Subban and Vasilievsky (sp)

Avs just can't play the over 5m UFA dman signing this season, way too many contracts to figure out and extend for the 2016-17 season. EJ, ROR, MacK, and Barrie.

Have to be really careful with who they signed this summer, extend their own boys to know what their cap situation is like. I would hate to see a guy like ROR be expendable bc they can't make their cap work bc they gave a guy like Sekera 6m dollars. So they can't be major players on all the big boys this summer.

I agree MacKinnon will be the best of them all one day. Johnson and Kucherov are first line pp for the Bolts and are doing it with a great supporting cast on the pp. However I can see both of them cracking 80+ points next year. I am at a loss to explain how the Avs were not able to build on a great 2013-14 season??
