Glass Boy? bc he had a few injuries last couple of seasons? he played similar amount of games than Kane, Stamkos over last 2 seasons, and more than Crosby last 5 seasons..

Malkin is the 2nd best player Center in league as far as scoring goes.
As well, he's top 5 in assists/game.
Malkin on a line with Kessel would mean 40+ goals for Kessel for sure.

there is always lots of talk and trades thrown out.. but hasnt there only been 1 top 10 moved in the past 5 drafts? ... once the pick was known

You misunderstand me. I think Kessel is great and will get a solid return. However, most people forget to factor what the other team is doing/building/their plan when they make trades up.

Sure Kessel is worth #11 but maybe Florida really wants a first round pick in THIS draft and won't do the deal unless one is coming back.

Essentially it's Kessel for the #11 and then #24 for something else from Florida. Maybe the first next year and a 2nd this year. I don't know exactly but it would be a hard sell I think to give up the #11 in "a deep draft".
