Kerby Rychel would be absolutely perfect maybe we could trade Marcus Foligno to Columbus
- gerbe75pts

Instead of us getting Nick they can have Marcus? I like it. They want D though.

But after that, things are getting a little thin. Former Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jerry D'Amigo, 2011 Sabres draft pick Daniel Catenacci and former Los Angeles Kings draft pick William Carrier headline the depth chart right now.

Carrier came from Stl, Not LA.

He wishes.

I honestly think he's a stop gap till Risto and Pysyk are ready for full time top 4 duty.

Wouldn't shock me to see him, Gorges and Moulson gone in 2 years.

- Sabresfan-365

Wouldn't shock me either, but Bogo seems like a guy that Murray coveted. I think Bogo could end up being our 4th or 5th guy someday if McCabe/Zadorov turn out

Even if he does, unless he ups his game dramatically or the prospects really fall short he'll have no choice but to move him. Can't be paying a guy 5+ mil a year to be your #5 guy.

I can't believe I got banned for that. It even auto-corrected it like it does (frank).

Anyway. I like Columbus a lot, I'm wearing a CBJ sweatshirt right now actually and I think they make a ton of sense as a trade partner but honestly, I don't want anymore young players, either leaving or coming back. We need a top-6 winger in their mid-20s (I'd give up a lot for a guy like Simmonds) and a goalie.

I'd love Nick Foligno in Buffalo, but now that he's the Captain of the Blue Jackets, no chance in hell he gets traded. So of all the proposed scenarios, I like the idea of flipping Marcus Foligno to CBJ.

I didn't see anything that suggested he isn't a top-4 guy in his time here or his time in the Peg. Honestly, he, like Kane, has played on crap teams his whole career thus far and who really did he have to play with? Sorry but I think Byfuglien sucks and I can't say Winnipeg's D has any stand out guys on it. Except their franchise, right handed, 6'8" D they fleeced us for.

Byfuglien is WPG'S 3rd best defensemen behind Myers and Trouba. It's was obvious in the playoffs

Career average 47 points a season, may be lacking defensively but he's put up very good numbers offensively his entire career.

His numbers are a bit better than I thought, actually but I've always thought he was a liability in his own end. Idk. He's like a Power Forward playing Defense. Guess he's just one of those players I never liked. Plus, and I may be one of the few who thinks this, but I truly think he was/is the one with character issues in the whole Kane/Byfuglien drama. Plus, he cross checks people in the neck when they are on the ground. Dirty player.

Numbers aren't everything. But he does have his name on the Stanley Cup so I guess I'm just not a fan of the player.

Rychel and Eichel? lol

So somehow, Murray should go for Rychel and 8th overall this year, for Pysyk, 21st overall, Foligno, and 31st overall.

Do you think it would take more than that? What else could be included to score that?

I like Pysyk, but for that score, I could part with him.

Has Pysyk played a full season?
- Stripes77

No, I think he's up to around 60 games, but the difference is we're not making him available. Murray sounds like he thinks very highly of him.

points from goals or assists.

Assists would be a product of his teamates being able to score goals . We don't have that luxury.

Neither would I, he just isn't a true #1 guy.

He might get permanently moved to forward

I think we have our version of him in Zadorov. That's good and bad.

Buffalo Sabres GM Tim Murray currently has two picks in June's NHL Entry Draft, and he's willing to trade one of them.
It's unlikely they'll move off of Jack Eichel at second overall, but Murray seems to want to either move up in the draft or acquire another quality young player for his 21st overall pick in June. For what it's worth, the last three players selected at 21st overall were; Robert Fabbri (St. Louis, 2014), Frederik Gauthier (Toronto, 2013), and Mark Jankowski (Calgary, 2012). But Riley Sheahan (Detroit, 2010) is the last player to make an impact from that particular slot.

Trade it, we don't need anymore damn picks

I agree. I honestly think we should forget about trading for ROR and package the 21st ++ for Wayne Simmonds. Philly is deep at RW, needs D something bad, and could use another C. We need a RW. I like ROR, but let's wait to see if he hits FA and then throw the bank at him, if he goes elsewhere (frank) him. I don't want to give up any assets for him as of right now.

I'd back up the armored truck for Simmonds.

I have no problem going after ROR or Wayne Simmonds problem is, both will be hard to get.

That's why they'll probably end up either keeping the pick or moving up
