Have you ever talked to someone who said "Hashtag _____" It makes me nuts. That and facebook. Are people too stupid to know what the function of the hashtag is?

unless it's a clear win, keep Schenn. Get rid of 8.
- wilsonecho91

I like Grossmann a lot but yeah, I couldn't agree with this more. I think Luke Schenn's problem areas can be cleaned up.

I thought it was to get either three X's or 0's in a row to win.

I'm less certain about that, but I do understand why some might think he can be salvaged. There isn't much time to fix it, IMO, but there is still time

It was a 2nd and a 3rd. I wouldn't trade MacDonald for that now. I'd rather keep him.

No worries -- not a crime to want to see what he does under this coach

Have you guys soured on Pavel Zacha? I know he had the injury bug, but I think is a nice player. I read that there are some scouts who think he is better suited for wing than center.

I'm not as wired into the prospects as some, but let's put it this way: Personallym, I'm not sour on anybody with size, who can skate at the needed pace, who projects as a Top 6 forward

I feel like Luke hasn't lived up to his hype and is slightly overpaid therefore people have given up on him. Everyone seems to be on be Gudas bandwagon, who is a poor man schenn. Other then highlight hits he does nothing better then Schenn. I am not saying Scheenn is more then a 5th but he Is more reliable. I really hope that they don't make Gudas more then a 7th dman. Watching the playoffs makes me realize that are poor breakout is one of are biggest problems.

I dont understand why they didnt use a 6th or 7th rounder on Zaitsev just to have his rights, regardless of their concerns of him coming over

I don't think people have soured on him, it's just there are so many prospects in the 8th range that have questionsarks in some areas and huge potential in other areas. him Bazal provorov crouse and rantanen all have great upside. I hope the fan base gets behind whoever we take and makes a big impact right at whatever level they play

Reminds me off the Fin guy they invited to camp and was then drafted by la in late rounds. Really was mind blowing

He is a nice player, but I have him behind Barzal at center, and behind Rantanen and Crouse on the wing, so he would not be my pick at seven.

I always thought Kirby Rychel was a bit overhyped. Maybe it's just me, though.

I'm sure some might agree but depending on what type of defenseman they are looking for to fill a spot in their top 4 it might be worth it.

Luke Schenn is 25 years of age. I don't think he's been nearly as bad as many make him out to be. In fact, I think Stanley Cup Contenders/Winners see a value of a Luke Schenn when they acquire similar players like Sean O'Donnell, Willie Mitchell and Robyn Regehr for a deep run. I think we're all aware that defenseman normally come into their own late within their careers.

It is a problem. Berube was reluctant to use the center of the ice on breakouts. Most forechecking schemes attack and take away the boards. They'll give up the middle of the ice because they don't mind the opposition taking the puck into the most dangerous areas of ice. Making short quick and accurate passes, and using the middle of the ice is the key, but you have to have the personnel to execute it.

I haven't seen enough of Gudas to write him off before he even plays one game for the Flyers but what we do know is, he only has one full season under his belt in the NHL. He does spends a lot of time in the box which goes against what Hextall/Berube were originally working for. Right now Radko Gudas couldn't possibly be better than Luke Schenn. Schenn is only one year older than Gudas but Gudas doesn't have anywhere near the experience Schenn does.

who knows haha once that week sets in, its all a blur. the one that was the easiest is actually one of the ones im most worried about because of the curve.

but i wont find out until like mid june anyway.

unfortunately i didnt get any time off between school and work, once i found a job. so thats been pretty much all my time. work and commute, especially since the train line has been all sorts of fouled up. (which is why ive been pretty much non-existent here anymore)

thanks for asking though! how's everything with you?

Doing well, thanks.

Glad to hear you got yourself a job. Doesn't sound like it's in the city.
