I completely agree. And not just because he's a Flyers blogger, by any means. Because there is a lot of Flyers writers I can't stand.. But Bill is thorough, he does his research, he's impartial on as much as he can be, and he puts a lot of effort into his write-ups. I don't know how he does it... blogging for two teams, traveling a lot, having a family... guy's good at juggling!
Seriously though, Bill... I really enjoy reading all of your blogs on here. You're awesome... thanks for all of your time and effort you put into bringing us readers the info! - WarriorHockey21
Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it . The check is in the mail

I couldn't agree more ... and as a guy who reads many of the other bloggers on hockeybuzz, I believe that Bill stands out head and shoulders above the rest.
Bill, if/when I start my Flyers monthly magazine idea I've been kicking around you'll be the first writer I'll reach out to.

Man, my favorite gus moment. What a great play, and then emrick's commentating, "gustaffson down at the other end, scoooooore". - benjichronic
Soooo, sooo fitting. Dorsett drew a penalty with a Letang-esque head snap, and Gus never even came close to poopting him with his stick. I turned to my friend and said, "It would be really fitting if they killed the penalty and then sprung him from the box and he scored on a breakaway."
Thanks Bill. Would you consider Medvedev a Kjell Samuelsson type of player? They seem to have the same build.
I read that the knock on Zaitsev was his injury last season. However, if he can over come that, and the contract issues with the KHL, that would be another bold move by Hexy.
Hmmm....I guess that would leave Grossman, and Schenn out in the cold. Plus, if we could get rid of those salaries...nice.
I am crossing my fingers about AMac. I hope that he just had an off year, and an adjustment period. Plus, with new guys in the line up, he might not have to eat a lot of minutes, and can play at a more comfortable level.
Just thinking out loud.

Honestly, I think any and all Flyers defensemen are available for the right price. It just depends on the deals out there. I would think they move Grossmann this summer (since Gudas is here at a lower cost, albeit not as proven as an NHL regular, and Morin is in the winds). Everyone else, it depends on what assets are being offered. I'd think they also shop Schenn. The others would depend on clubs approaching Philly, although the Flyers will probably at least kick tires to see if there is interest in MacDonald even if salary comes back this way.
The Flyers won't shop Streit, but he's not untouchable. Ditto Schultz and Del Zotto (his contract negotiation this summer could be a tricky one). Gudas is a bit player at this point as is Manning. - bmeltzer

Not back in the day, but recently, yes. Some old dude try to extol the "virtues" of Jim Morrison and the Doors on me so I laid him out cold. I'm not a fighter but sometimes there are no other options.
