i think our prospect pool in underrated. Defence especially. We have one of the best D prospect pools in the league. Finn Percy, Loov, Valiev, Nilsson, Granberg and Everson all have legitimate shots at being serviceable NHLers. Finn and Percy could be 3/4's
- steve362

I don't know, outside of Rielly I don't see much in the way of exceptional potential. Most of the D will be 2nd pairing at best, like you said, and Nylander may be the only forward prospect with 1st line potential if he puts it all together. I like the prospect pool, but it needs more talent.

Agreed. Just like you had the best dcore in the East a few years ago. Remember that?
Good times.

We have NHL talent, just not high end talent outside of Nylander and whoever we pick this year. We could gain to hit on a few late round picks, that's for sure!

Enjoying all the butt hurt about the leafs throwing money around.

Since Shanny took over, its like the Leafs suddenly woke up and realized holy (frank), we're rich.. Let's spend some money.

I have to agree with him, the Leafs D-core in 1967 was solid top to bottom

I think Finn's still got a high ceiling. He was stifled and misused... And injured. Going to get big minutes next year.

I like to watch Tampa games and take off my glasses, with their blue and white it looks like the Leafs are in the playoffs, with good players. And every time they say tampa or the lightning I just go lalalalalalalala

Shanahan is inexperienced and doesn't know what he's doing.... Or something along those lines.

That Alexander Dergachev pick at 24 on Draftsite doesn't seem so bad at the moment!
