The one thing I like about really cheap, weak-ass US beer (inevitably bought as a 30 pack for $12.99 at a convenience store just before you hit the border) is you can fill up a cooler with them, and just keep crushing them all day in the sun, and never really get polluted.

It's just a nice buzz all afternoon with your buddies on a dock or out of a golf bag or whatever.

Pretty much. I don't really get drunk off beer anymore(except, oddly for mill st. vanilla porter ) for the most part my stomach just can't hold the amount of beer required.

Scotch on the other hand....

love scotch. can only drink it in the winter though.

agree on beer, i find though draft beer is way easier to get drunk off. Bottles/cans need some 'help' in the form of hard liquor

Cheap scotch with a bit of soda and lime does the trick in summer. Higher alcohol than beer, just as easy going down.

Actually, just about any highball will get the job done... Though I stay away from the really sugary stuff like rum&coke.

no one knows. absolutely. but the good pieces we add are also (should be) years away from making it, let along being solid contributors.

i see:

2015-16...crap, trading off assets...get some good picks
2016-17...crap, Nylander comes up , hopefully Brown (to prove me wrong)...good picks
2017-18 crap...doubtful but possible hanifin, marner / strome has rookie year

and on and on.

- clark_griswold

Nah, I believe this years 4th will be in the line up in the 2016/17 season.

I don't know if age matters that much. Some brands I like the 12 year better than the 15 or 18.

totally. for the money, my favorite is OBAN 14. gone up in price, but much better IMO than some more expensive ones.

That's why I specified cheap. No mixing anything into good scotch, except maybe some filtered water, and even then only a bit.
