I'll respond to you, point is you can't just blame Carlyle like Glucky and Burn are doing. Somehow absolving the players of any wrongdoing
- PatC80

I'm with you. I still think Carlyle was and is a good coach. It's not like he was saying 'No worries about the shots against guys, can't you see we're winning!' I do think it was his time to go though.

I thought you were arguing Carlyle was a bad coach? I'm confused now.
- 1979AD

He is. Horachek is worse... But Carlyle is still bad.

A good coach would have maximized the team's strengths and minimized their weaknesses. Carlyle maximized both.

When your team can't defend for poop, maybe sitting back and letting the other team attack for the majority of the game is a bad strategy. Dontcha think?

I think that's the beauty of Babcock... he had hundreds of different Red Wings buying in ALL THE TIME for 10 years. Even the really good coaches are switching teams every 5 years or so when their 'message gets stale'.

At the same time, it's not fair to blame a coach that's been with a team for a few years when they team starts tuning him out. This happens to almost everyone (except Babcock).

- 1979AD

I'm happy Babcock is here.

I don't think the Leafs will be much better next year, as I think this roster still has giant holes.

But at the very least, it will be more interesting to watch them next year.

If they keep Kessel, it will be fascinating to watch. Will he buy in? Will his give a poop meter go higher?

IMHO, if they keep Kessel, they have to get rid of Bozak.

That's not true. Insubordination doesn't make you a better employee, professionalism does, however.

that's why Kadri received more pp time and points...can you keep up?
- Garnie

His scored more /60, so his amount of games don't matter. hard to keep up?

Kadri got mins, but he produced..... But don't give him mins again the next year.

Fact is, until Horachek took over they were a lot closer to proving me right than proving you right... Something you seem to overlook quite a bit.

But hey, keep taking that high road

Maybe you shouldn't use the early season under Carlyle to support the fact you had high expectations for the team to start the year then.

because the team sucks Gluck. It's not hard to realize. the same core was a bottom 5 or 10 team 7 of 8 years. the excuses kind of run out at that point don't you think?

i get you WANT the leafs to be good. But life doesn't always work out that way

the p/60 comparable for Kadri are some elite players.. I dont even bother to post them, it doesnt matter to most.. there is something about Kadri that rubs fans the wrong way.. minds are made up on him.. stats dont matter then

He is not perfect..but at the moment the best center option the leafs have.

exactly...Bozak also produced...same amount of points as Kadri in 20 less games.

50 points in 78 games or 49 points in 58 games

which is the better stat?
