aside from primeau's game tying and gagne's winning goals against tampa in game 6 of that year, this is my probably favorite flyers goal ever.
- hammarby31

I'm only 31, so I don't have any memories of the Flyers before the 92/93 season. But, for me, as much as I loved the 07/08, 09/10 and 11/12 teams, the 03/04 team was my favorite. A healthy Desjardins or Jonsson and they win the Cup.

By the way, who were the announcers for ABC? it sounds like Steve Levy and Darren Pang.

I made no such considerations. I made that choice were I starting a team today and those were the two choices I had.

Fear not, there are plenty of times I'd choose Mason over some other guy. Ben Bishop is one, for example. Same with either current WCF goalies.

Fair enough. Although I wouldn't necessarily want to start a team with a player 33 years of age.

You might if those were the only two goalie choices you were given.

Lundqvist still has many good seasons in front of him.

I wouldn't contend Mason is the better goaltender right now, that would be foolish. But 3 or 4 years from now he may be.

Mason has played a 119 games as a Flyer. save % .922 small sample size, but he hasn't exactly had a stellar defense in front of him. Lundqvist career save % is .920

i don't give a poop what lundqvist has done. i like mason's game moar. and not because he's a flyer.

and look what happens to lundqvist when he doesn't have lock down fort knox in front of him when it matters. 12 goals in 2 games.

malakhov to zhamnov to markov - goal. suck it, marty.

My most memorable and probably favorite was Primeau's overtime goal against Pittsburgh. I had a 104 fever and the chills, shivering under 2 blankets. And yet 5 OT's and I'm in it until the end. And despite the cough and the fever, I jumped off the couch and danced like a 10 year old.

Needless to say, I missed work the next day

... you know, it's actually funny how much it pisses me off when people walk on my property now that I have a house. Nice people from the neighborhood, that don't mean anything bad by it... but it still gets on my nerves.. I feel like and old cranky man sometimes..

I like Mason a lot too. I think the Flyers finally have their guy. Slight concern about durability, but other then that, Mason is a team strength.

Palushaj sounds like a pick up for the Phantoms.

Funny, but given the choice today between him and Mason, I'd take Lundqvist.
- Scoob

I wouldn't. Mason's contract is much cheaper.

I felt like an old dude yesterday too. My little sister (just graduated highschool) had her boyfriend over, and first, his school didn't have finals for seniors. With that I was like "what?! No finals?!" and I went on a rant about the local school systems. Then I went on to have to explain the importance of, and the influence the doors/ jim Morrison left behind. He looked at me with a dull expression the whole time. I did one of these " "

I've had a few old man moments.

Kids kicking my pile of leaves, scared the poop out of them screaming from my porch.

Kid riding his 4-wheeler up and down his driveway 2 doors down when we had snow at 4:30 AM on a work day waking me up. Yelled at him, in my robe, and then he got off and I realized he was well over 6" tall and ended with, "So, um, don't do it again," and went back inside.

There was one other one, but it escapes me.

If a poll was taken of High School seniors, I'd be surprised if 15% of them knew who Jim Morrison was. Morrison has been dead for close to 45 years. Some High School kids parents weren't born yet.

So what? King Kong's been dead since 1933, but everyone knows who he is. What music did he ever write?
