It's crazy. Same thing with me. Also, I realized that I have to keep my yap shut about stuff I would have spoken out against before.

Case in point: Walking with my wife and daughter into a consignment shop, and there's a guy coming out with his (I'm assuming ) son. The kid is 3, MAYBE 4. And the guy's screaming, "SHUT THE (frank) UP AND GET IN THE (frank)ING CAR. SHUT UP OR I'M GONNA KICK THE poop OUT OF YOU!" There is not a single thing in the world that this kid could have done to warrant this behavior.

Now, old me would have gotten up on his high horse and said something to the guy. But, now that I have a kid, I have to stop and consider that:
1) This dude is pissed and is just looking for a reason to fight someone, and
2) this guy might have a gun.

So, sadly, I had to leave this kid with this bumhole maniac, and I just told my daughter that I would never say stuff like that to her.

Sadly, some parents remain overgrown adolescents their entire lives and it never "clicks" in their heads that there are other factors involved once you become a parent.

I made no such considerations. I made that choice were I starting a team today and those were the two choices I had.

Fear not, there are plenty of times I'd choose Mason over some other guy. Ben Bishop is one, for example. Same with either current WCF goalies.

Reminded me of Danny Markov on Brodeur in 2004.




Will never forget that goal. Stood in line for 3 hours and missed 2 classes because Rowan was selling $20 tickets to the game. I think they had like 80 tickets. Got mine with about 10 people to spare.
