I'm very interested to know what the price would be to get Drouin out of Tampa. I have no problem including #7 and seeing what other assets it would take. I wouldn't dangle Morin, Sanheim, and probably Stolarz, but the other prospects I would include. |

Maybe the Rags should figure out how to play slightly more defense when Yandle's not on the ice - AllInForFlyers

The narrative is just crazy -- some guys get no blame when the puck goes in the net when they're on the ice, and some guys get blamed for every single thing that happens
Once your rep is set in that league, it's almost impossible to change it |

Since Carle left with the injury, the Rags have taken over the game. |

Your not joking.
It starts with getting grossman involved in a transition game |

k lemme try this again... sean couturier, second coming of jesus christ, on this board for some... if his name is mentioned in a possible trade for any player, that player then becomes a steaming pile of poop. |

Tampa runs Sustr out there, though -- you can keep one guy like that around.

Meh, it doesn't really matter. Next year and in the future morin will be that one and only guy. And that's all that really matters |

for me personally, i put a lot of value into how a player will impact the team, and the general makeup of the team. like i said earlier, flyers need blueline help. its nice they have prospects who will hit their prime around 2023, but right now they established dmen. so unless your name is giroux, voracek, or mason, ifim hextall you are expendable. |

OK. Let's just say that Yandle is being sheltered -- let's say that is, indeed, happening.
He still doesn't get credit for not getting scored on? For not playing defense like Kyle Cumiskey looked last night?
Again: How do you not give the guy credit for not getting scored on, no matter who the coach puts him out against?
It's OK to say, "Hey. I though Keith Yandle was gonna get exposed and lit up with the Rags, but it hasn't happened yet."
Because that is the truth. Why can't those who hated on the deal just acknowledge that truth? - AllInForFlyers
I don't necessarily look at a player being "sheltered" as a negative. That's not always the case in my opinion. If the Rangers are able to "shelter" Yandle and keep him away from top offensive players, and play Yandle in offensive situations with other good offensive players, then in my view that's good coaching, and not a negative on a player. Players have roles on a team. Teams acquire players to add certain elements to a team. In today's NHL, you just won't score enough goals, or generate enough shots without heavy contributions from the back end. The Rangers didn't acquire Yandle to shut down the opposition. They acquired him to skate and pass the puck, and to generate offense. |

Prob not. But with Schultz and gudas very likely on board there is absolutely no reason to have luke and grossman around. Those two are your defensive dmen. Time to move on and I think that's what hextall wants to accomplish. Perhaps Luke can be traded if the flyers eat some salary - Just5
The Flyers would be carrying 2.7M of dead cap space by sending Luke Schenn to the minors. Not going to happen.

After the deadline hextall intimated that he would have liked to move more players out but he didn't want to completely gut their slight playoff chances
So yes more moves coming and I agree they are 1 and 1a |

I would personally add Simmonds to that list of Giroux, Voracek and Mason..
and maybe Rimaldo.. |
