Who stays and who goes? For the sake of argument, can the Flyers live with these 6 guys as regulars? I'm betting we haven't acquired one or two of our regulars yet that put us over the top.

I think the Flyers are basically stuck with MacD and Schenn. Grossmann and Streit getting moved is possible - Streit either coupled with a pick @ the draft or at the TDL. Morin I think makes the squad out of camp. Sanheim I think they wait another year on him. Gostisbehere they call up during the regular season after he absolutely lights up the AHL, assuming of course none of those prospects are moved between now and next season.

We all know what plus-minus is, but when Yandle got moved, I didn't read anybody saying his -30-whatver was a team stat. All I heard was that Yandle was a terrible defensive player and the Rags were weaker as a team by bringing him in

I don't have the numbers in front of me but I believe I heard the same thing about the type of player Dan Boyle is. In Yandle's case, I believe the team has sheltered Yandle against tough match ups and haven't played him as much as they should for a player of his caliber.

There's some hyperbole there for sure. Yandle is a good player, no doubt. Very skilled and adds an element to team. He's just not a player I would want to build my defense around. He's an offensive defenseman and a very good one. Just not great defensively.

The Flyers would have no problem trading Luke Schenn in my opinion. MacDonald's cap hit and term would limit the trade market for him, but that's okay because I don't want to trade him anyway. I think it's a pretty safe bet that Morin starts in the AHL, especially now that they just signed Medvedev.

Don't see AMac getting moved and I'm ok with that. He fits a lot of what Hak wants to do with the d and his value is just God awful low. I could see grossman and Luke both gone. I don't think any of the kids make the squad out of camp so you have these 7

He still doesn't get credit for not getting scored on? For not playing defense like Kyle Cumiskey looked last night?

Again: How do you not give the guy credit for not getting scored on, no matter who the coach puts him out against?

It's OK to say, "Hey. I though Keith Yandle was gonna get exposed and lit up with the Rags, but it hasn't happened yet."

Because that is the truth. Why can't those who hated on the deal just acknowledge that truth?

Prob not. But with Schultz and gudas very likely on board there is absolutely no reason to have luke and grossman around. Those two are your defensive dmen. Time to move on and I think that's what hextall wants to accomplish. Perhaps Luke can be traded if the flyers eat some salary
