Chicago is getting a taste of the Flyers in 2010 altho a 40 yo Timonen as the 5 is better than what the Flyers had.

Absolutely -- man. It's a sad world when you're getting compared with Parent-Krajicek

I don't love the guy, but I have always respected his fitness level. But I just don't see how you play that many minutes against a team as physical as Anaheim and that not impact you moving forward

If that dude is an impact player the next game or two, I will come on here and profess profound admiration and respect for him as a player, because that game was as physical as it gets -- the way Jones and Milbury were talking after it, they were hinting that they felt like that was Chicago's last stand

- AllInForFlyers

It was a great game. I enjoyed every second of it. What a show both goalies put on. I was just looking at the ice times, amazingly Cumiskey played more than Timonen. They essentially played with 4 dmen last night.

Stoner was last on the Ducks in ice time among dmen at over 28 minutes, Cumiskey and Timonen played 18:34 and 16:45

Imagine if they would have lost.
- nastyflyergirl

If they would have lost, their season would have been over. They wouldn't have been able to beat the Ducks 4 of 5

My worst fear is a fresh Rags team waiting for a beat up depleted Hawks team. It can't go down that way. If the Bolts win tonight, I think at the very least it's a 7 game series. But for TB to win the series, they must do it in 6. They won't win a game 7 at MSG.
- PLindbergh31

Tonight will be really interesting -- I think the Rags can figure out how to contain Johnson, but I'm not so delusional as to think I can't be wrong

I want Chicago to get that 2nd round pick from them but if the Rangers win I have to admit I almost want Anaheim because I think they can beat the Rangers whereas I think the Hawks will be spent
- nastyflyergirl

Agreed. I would rather have a 3rd round pick and no Rags Cup, then a second round pick with the Rags winning the Cup.

Can someone explain why every single player on both teams is wearing # 70?

Anaheim hit, what -- five posts? Six? Three in that second overtime alone?

Chicago played hard and I'm absolutely not saying they didn't deserve to win, but man, Anaheim's probably thinking that if they play that way again, things are gonna go their way

That triplets line has been otherworldly in the playoffs. They just can't keep up their current pace. It just doesn't seem possible. If Stamkos gets hot Rags could be in trouble. Bishop has played very well in the first two games.

Yep. I think in the game, I read that the Ducks hit 7 total posts/crossbars. That's nuts. Crawford was great no doubt, but he had an angel sitting on both posts last night.

Babcock: ``I'm happy for Mike.''

WTF? Is Babcock serious with this referring to himself in the third person poop?
Maybe it is better off the Flyers didn't hire him. He's pretty egocentric it appears.

Keith played 50 minutes last night. Essentially he played two NHL games in one night. Has to be physically and mentally draining.
- PLindbergh31

He was phenomenal. I thought the other Hawk stars were disappointing, except Toews, who was ok but not much more. Hossa had brain-fart after brain fart. Sharp was invisible. Kane went around sulking. Richards was the 2nd best star player. Kimmo was pathetic. Bickel, Shaw, Saad were probably the best forwards.

Hawks looked like they were playing scared. Ducks always hit their blue line with speed, with Chicago D-men backpedalling. Numerous clears by Hawks D were anticipated and picked up along the boards with the latter D jumping the pass. Hawks never got an easy entry after first period. They always had to dump it in and they were very cautious about joining the rush. Their D-man stayed well back. Toews was the only star forward who went to the net hard -everyone else took unscreened bad angle snapshots.

In the header bad goal by Shaw, Beauchemin has no idea what is happening. He never lifts his head up to the puck. Must have been strange, seeing the guy he is guarding from going to the net suddenly jump up into the air vertically. Beauchemin just gave him a shove -like - you are not gonna hurdle me. Why the (frank) are you celebrating and screaming? Simmer down now.

Then he turned around to see puck in net.

Chicago looked good.. .Anaheim looked better. I've never seen so many players on one team finishing most of their checks.

There were at least five times where Crawford never moved or saw the shot, and if people watched that final sequence, I am still stunned that Silfverberg's shot didn't get in the net when he let it go -- I was amazed that didn't go. Crawford never saw it, it went straight through the crease. It couldn't have missed the far post by more than a couple of inches

The Hawks were outplayed pretty significantly last night. I thought the Ducks were the better team by a wide margin. Somehow the Hawks pulled it out. They know how to win.
