Letting Gudas play on the third pairing and getting rid of one of the high priced schlubs is fine by me.

Medvedev sounds intriguing. Looking purely at numbers he's been a good player in the KHL.

Wonder if adding a Russian veteran D-man is a sign that the Flyers are looking at drafting a Russian defenseman by way of the Brandon Wheat Kings....

That said, his career on the bigger ice and reported two way ability means he's probably a good skater and fits the mold of what Hextall and Hakstol have stated their desire is.

They are different -- Ed Snider hasn't lost his poop yet, which stuns me. He really is letting Hextall do his thing. Del Zotto played very well last year. His skillset seems to be a good fit with the way Hakstol wants to play. Wouldn't make much sense if they let Del Zotto walk, while having redundant mastodons in L. Schenn and Grossmann.

You have to, based on the fact that they have so many guys on one-ways, you aren't bringing all those guys to camp and letting them fight it out, then have to try to move them in September when money's spent
