Also quite of age and experience gap between MDZ and Streit.......I hope MDZ stays adds some solid offensive depth in the back end. - flyerfan28
He wasn't all that bad in his own end either. I just have a feeling he could think he's possibly entitled to a huge raise. Which i don't think he is. |

Anyone know if Medvedev shoots left or right?
This also makes me think that AMac and at least one, if not both, of Grossmann and Schenn are gone. - BiggE

If I'm not mistaken, Del Zotto had plenty of PP icetime while with the Rangers. - MJL
I have no problem with him as one of the guys on the top unit. Streit doesn't need to be the other guy. We need him as of this writing, but they absolutely should explore dealing him after the season he just had.
I'm not giving him away though. I'd want a 1st round pick and a roster player. |

The Leafs thread must be full of anger and disgust. They hired that (frank)ing bum Babcock. |

I'm sure they are all convinced that starting in 2016, the Leafs will win 8 straight Cups. Leaf fans take delusional to exciting new levels. |

I'd only trade Streit if the return was too good to pass up, otherwise, the Flyers need to keep him.

My guess: The GM in TO is gonna be a Capologist and manage the scouting department/draft, more than likely.
I'm guessing Babcock is gonna get some clout to clean that lockerroom out.
So, that will make the GM the third banana in this particular hierarchy. - johndewar

I didnt say he didnt get plenty of time...just not plenty of time on a #1 unit. Playing on the top unit can have as much a positive impact as playing on the 2nd unit can drag your numbers down. Look at this years splits. |

Yup, put him at the top of the zone with Giroux on his left and Voracek on his right should make him much more effective. |

Streit 5.25 - Macdonald 5
Medvedev 3.25 - Del Zotto3.5
Gudas 0.99 -Shultz 2.25
Manning .625
Total $20.865 mil (30% of estimated cap)
Sound about right?
Also there are some rumors that Zaitsev is coming to camp for us, with no guaranteed contract. That could make one of Gudas or Manning the odd man out. |

I think he has the ability and the talent to be a good PP QB, but he hasn't been so, to this point. |

If Streit and AMac are our top pair, well, I guess we can always root for ping pong balls again next Spring. |

Yea it isn't ideal. They're both pretty mobile and have two-way ability, so maybe they'll work well with Hak's system. |

I'd like to see one or both of those contracts moved.
And I'm not looking for a home run with a Streit trade, just a move that would help the team, either now or later. |
