Yup, players like Blomstrand and Fox who played in the ECHL counted this season.

I know you have little faith inJB but I am going to trust his judgement over yours. In one year he brought in some very good pieces to bring the Comets from meh to 2 nd best record in the AHL.

He lives at the rink and is privy to stuff that you and I have no idea about with the Canucks and Comets.

I know you are pissed about Sbisa, but LS is a mirror of Bieksa only 1 mil cheaper than he was at that age.

He knows what his plan is , and I am sure he will make mistakes along the way.

Sbisa isn't Bennin's only head scratcher of a move, its just his worst so far but I agree he needs more time until he is judged.

Bieksa was 1 year cheaper and had put up double the points that Sbisa had at that point tho. (147 pts in 366 games vs Sbisa 67 pts in 342 games)

I'm sure he has a plan, but so far that plan seems to involve acquiring older skilled players and younger meat and potato players, that seems backasswards to me.

I'm not ready to call JB a failure but to me the little things he does just goes against the odds and logic. It's those little things that annoy me.

- Signing Cederholm(I can live with this)
- Sbisa contract(agent said it was an easy negotiation)
- Paid a pretty high price for Pedan who was in the ECHL at that time
- Calgary GM said offer for Sven was by far the best they received(but the trade still looks good)
- Miller contract(he wanted to play out West and yet the Canucks still overpaid)
- Gave up Garrison for a pretty reasonable price
- Vey trade sucks so far


He seems like a guy who will overpay unnecessarily and isn't worried about it.

Stewart and Cederholm are both signed so I'm fine with letting Subban walk. I'd try to trade Tanev for another Sbisa-type. Maybe Boston will trade McQuaid for him or ANA will trade Stoner for Tanev?

Sbisa as I said is the younger cheaper Kevin Bieksa with one less year than gillis gave Bieksa and 1 mil cheaper
Don't like the Miller signing but we have stable goaltending for 3 years
He may have been the highest bid for Sven , but Sven is on our team now and not theirs, I have also heard him referred to on Twitter many times as Comets best player.
Pedan has come a long way and again Comets finished second overall
Garrison . The core was/is stale to change that you need to move those NTCs . That was step one
Vey had 9 goals in his rookie season 3 less than Higgins
