There was good and bad to every aspect of what he did for this team. To overlook the good is just wrong as well the bad. In the end the bad was too much to overlook. - thundachunk
Yes, you're correct! It was bunny rabbits and rainbows. |

My #2 favorite MG gaffe was naming Luongo Captain - VanHockeyGuy
That will go down as one of the top 5 NHL gaffes of all time.
Unreal.

Mental midget? He's a carefree spirit just like Lack, although I think he's grown up over the past year, which he needed to, and he realizes he needs to be more of a complete player and person to make the NHL a reality for him. - LeftCoaster
He looks nervous as hell everytime he gets called up into the NHL, it was the same in Florida. |

Because no ones ever shown him patience. If he knows he's got an NHL job and managements support, he'll grow as a player. |

If they trade Lack, which I think they should, I believe Markstrom will become a good goaltender at the NHL level if he's given the time and patience they've afforded Lack to become a better player. - LeftCoaster
I think it depends on the return, and I don't think there is much of a market for goalies right now. Seems like every year there is a new goalie that comes out of no where and is playing great.
This year we had Darling, Hammond and Ramo in the playoffs.
I think I would rather keep Lack then getting a 2nd round pick if that's what his value is.
Markstrom might become a good goalie and I definitely think he has the talent but he has gotten a lot more chances at the big show than Lack did before Lack was able to secure a job.
Ideally I would like to run with Lack/Markstrom next year and move Miller for cap space. |

I'm getting a real bad feeling about this Subban deal, if he goes back into the draft, or gets traded that will be a huge fail for this management. |

I don't think trading Miller is an option, I also don't think we're competing for the Cup any time soon, so trade either Lack or Markstrom, whom ever brings the higher pick. |

In the end he wasn't able to win a championship, same with AV.
Nobody would be female doging about Booth and Ballard or claiming Luongo being captain was top 5 dumbest moves in NHL history if the nucks won the cup.
It's like tonight if the Was wins, everyone will be saying how bout Ovie, the guy is the next messier but if he loses he will be the biggest choke artist of all time.
The reality is neither of these things but in sports we tend to get a little dramatic.

Friedman: Possibility of Hodgson buyout "very real"
Just saying. - bloatedmosquito
I actually feel sorry for Hodgson, his career is now permanently (frank)ed whether or not he gets bought out. No one is ever going to risk giving him a long-term big money contract thanks to his indifferent play and the baggage he brings with him in the form of his dad (who, if rumor is to be believed, did more damage than help him by being too involved). At this point he'll be lucky to find a spot on an AHL team |

So you're saying you'd rather have Marchand for the past 14 years than Daniel? The guy who's second in franchise scoring. Marchand didn't win the Stanley Cup, the Bruins did. |

I think he's just as much of the problem as his dad his, plus his lack of commitment to playing an all-around game and improving on his weaknesses as a player have also hurt him...that and playing on a pathetic team. If I was a GM, I'd do what Minny did with Schroeder and give him a shot on a cheap deal to prove that he can at least be a decent depth player. |

Don't really care for either team but Ovechkin has always been one of my favourite players and we get a higher pick if they win. |

He will get another shot in Buff. You are right its not just his Dad. Hodgsen is his own biggest problem. |

Nope, I'm saying I would rather have a guy that will defend himself and battle. Not be a punching bag while your teammates stand there and watch. |

I honestly think he will still end up being a decent top 6 guy in the league, last season was horrendous for him obviously but he isn't the first young player to struggle.
He definitely has his warts but he still was the most talented prospect this team has had since the Sedins. Time will tell if he ever earns the contract he got but I think it would be short sighted to buy him out. I imagine a team somewhere would trade for him even if the the return is marginal. |

I don't care for any team but Vancouver but I am with you I love Ovi as well. Also Holtby won me over a few years back. |
