But he was so bad last year the team will probably send him down where he gets picked up by Buffalo

Aquilini is not willing to give up playoff revenue, so Benning is just a puppet like Gillis was. I guess we are all puppets now.

I seriously doubt we make the playoffs next year . I would rather fail with new faces than the same old ugly core.

I will be honest ,if our lineup has the same core next year, I am not sure I can keep my interest . I seen this same stuff year after year and it doesn't even come close to the type of hockey I like. Unless they are getting their asses kicked night after night and we are on our way to winning the first overall pick, I can't see myself cheering for another year of Bieksa Higgins and the rest of the Marshmellows and geriatrics .

+1

Many players make the same mistakes. I would rather watch a new guy make mistakes and hopefully learn

Than an old dog who is not going to learn a new trick.

We are 3 and 15 in our last 18 Playoff games. Why are fans so high on the playoffs? If the could do that in regular season we would have it made

I am hoping that we keep this core and only make changes to the kids coming in due to UFA's moving out this year.
I am banking on a few things.
1. Dallas will be a better team next year.
2. Colorado will be a better team.
3. Our sure wins from Cal and Edm will not be guaranteed anymore
4. LA will be better next year
5. SJ will better next year
6. Of the teams that made the dance this year, I see 6 making it again and it does not include Canucks.
7. I like our chances of missing the playoffs when competing for the final 2 spots with LA/ SJ/ Stars/ Cal Avs.
8. Seeing what some of the average D got this year at the TDL I would rather trade KB and at TDL. With him becoming a UFA and the team nowhere close to making it ot the playoffs I think he will be open to a trade.
9. We can dump Hammer too at the same time and maybe even Burr and or Miller.
10. JB said next years draft is better and if we are in the same position that Sabres are with the picks next year then I think we will be a lot closer to being back to respectability then I would think.
11. Hopefully the Mgmnt has a conversation with the Sedins and lets them know that the team will not be good enough to make the playoffs or be competitive to win in their contract timeframe and if they want they can be traded to a contender for a shot at the cup before they retire. The caveat will be that Canucks will sign them for a 1 day contract after their current contract is over so that they can retire are Canucks if they chose to.
12. The only way to force WD to use more rookies is to systematically remove the veterans from the team and replace them with rookies or younger players.

Would you allow someone who plays that poorly that you didn't sign play on your professional team?
