My wife tells me... Oh no... Perry got hurt.

Without blinking... Give it a moment babe. He'll be back.

He skates pretty good for a guy that swam off the ice

You know this means exactly the opposite of what you think it does?

If you use "a" then it can pass as sarcasm

But if you were using "e" you failed

Watching the last game of the World Juniors championship was also a fantastic game to watch. And you are right how many BORING NHL games can you watch! People are so used to watching crap hockey that they begin to actually think it is good hockey.
Wake up people. Hockey when played correctly is pure entertainment NOT a BOREFEST. And right now the NHL is a BOREFEST

Watered down talent pool. Most clubs are two line teams now.

The ANA-CHI series looks to be promising though.

This should help JB make up his mind. "Richardson to undergo ankle surgery"

I'm a fan of Ruchardson as a 4LC, but this team isn't going anywhere over the next few years so it's likely best for both sides to move on. I think he was underrated by Canuck fans. Big part of the PK, good speed, decent hands/shot for a 4th liner and plays with some grit.

A smart team that's looking to make the playoffs next year but lacks depth should sigh him. Colorado makes a lot of sense.

We will be slim in the talent pool this season. I hope we see moves but in this league the trade scene has become almost non existent and free agency is a joke.

No kidding. Outside of the draft and TDL, it's usually a shock when a significant trade goes down. And every decent UFA usually gets a fat contract with a NTC. It's why drafting is more important than ever.

And a third of the teams are in some sort of rebuild/retooling mode... People talk about parity, that doesn't sound like it.

With the cap going down it won't be easy to make deals, dumping salary will be on most teams priority list. The Canucks have been real quiet lately, they must have some kind of idea what the next step is.

Parity is definitely alive and well thanks to "game management" by referees and the nhl point system.

The league is doing the most it can to keep any team from becoming too good or too bad(obviously teams like Chicago and Edmonton are outliers with how good CHI has been and how awful EDM has been).

We can assume CAL & EDM will be improved next year and only hope that TOR continues on it's magical path.

Teams that have plenty of cap space wil be sitting pretty this off-season. All the teams at the limit or over it will be calling them.

I would laugh like hell if EDM got the #1 OA again next season. The NHL would be in a flux.

Just for that reason I'm happy they lost out on McDavid, and the fact it annoys James Tanner!

Makes you wonder if some high priced talent becomes available from a cap strapped team, will a tanking team bite or hesitate because they don't want to do too well and screw up their draft pick?

Who is in the race for the bottom next season?

Prague is amazing. Was there a year ago for the first time. Those cobblestones though... Ouch.

I am here—and will be wearing flat shoes all week!

From what I've seen so far, Prague is great. Lots of old-world charm but also very modern—I guess since they didn't really start modernizing in earnest until after they came out from behind the Iron Curtain in 1988. Interesting mix. And the weather is great!

I'll write more later. Need to get cleaned up and head over to the arena soon to catch Sweden/France.
