Go tell that to the calgary flames. Do you want the team to get younger or not?
Everybody wants to keep around their favourite player but at this point. Most of them are now too old. - manvanfan
Yes but give them the best chance to succeed. Having them play against other third liners lets them develop better |

Would you do Brent Seabrook for Dan Hamhuis and a 2016 second round pick ? Seabrook is about 1 mil more per year, both contracts expire next year. |

Sure but why would CHI want Hamhuis? |

Cheaper mostly and the draft pick. They are both still very good Dmen, and they won't be able to afford Seebs after next year |

If WA beats NYR Canucks draft pick will move from 23rd to 22nd |

It would be interesting to see how he would do without Keith. Similar to when Suter left Nashville.
Most hometown players have much better careers playing against the Canucks rather than playing for them. |

I'd love Seabrook in the lineup but just can't see the Hawks letting him go. They would most likely find a way to squeeze his salary in and dump other players. |

They are sort of committed with Kane Toews Hossa Crawford Keith Hjalmarsson and still have to sign Shaw and Saad |

I think they want to get away from the 5mil+ deals, they also usually come with some kind of LMC or NTC, which we don't need right now. |

Not saying he didn't. Willie got screwed though. Nice to see him win even if it was with the Kings. |

Yeah those NTC's are brutal. Really handcuffs the team.
Look at SJ and those 3 year deals they gave to Jumbo and Marleau.
What was DW thinking giving NTC's to those guys?
It's common knowledge they love living there.
They should have sold high on Marleau years ago.
As frustrated as we are with our team can you imagine being a Sharks Fan?
No way those people are buying into what DW is selling. |

Yup. Funny you say that... I was thinking about Gillis as I was scraping dead paint off the house this morning.
I saved the bigger chunks for snacks later. |

I think I read that they have 13 players signed for next year and only in the 4-6 million range to sign 10 more.... Something's gotta give whether they like it or not. |

There's a reason he dropped off the grid, and is not getting interviewed.

Isn't there a non disclosure in his contract? I thought there was. He's cashing those checks. |

At least he used lube with Willie. Malhotra got the sandpaper treatment. |

Could be, however he never liked to talk to anyone either. |

He didn't have the patience for it for sure. Whether he did something right or wrong he had the media and the fanbase asking and second guessing the entire way.
He could never hide how much it got to him. In his answers or how red his face would get. |

He always had an answer, didn't like to be asked direct questions, thought everyone outside his circle was a idiot, and answered questions with condescending rhetoric. My take; "Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent" |

Better to keep your mouth shut and have everyone THINK you are a fool...
Than to open your mouth and remove all doubt |
