All true but I agree with the statement that 2nd ligitimate centers are required. I look at the Ana lineup and on paper it it doesn't scream cup champions. I do think the addition of Kesler has made Ana so much better. Look at the second line of Beleskey, Kesler, Silfverberg. On paper you would think this is not a great 2nd line for a playoff team but they are performing really well. 21 points total for the three. Kesler and Silfverberg carrying the line but Beleskey has had a career year playing along side Kes. A great 2nd line centre can do that for a team.

Kesler on the Ducks vs the Canucks are two different animals. Kesler is a playmaking defensive talented threat on the Ducks because they were smart enough to surround him with talented players.

He was a selfish A hole on Canucks because let's face it he was alone on that second line for years.

NYR will get that Connor kid and trade Talbot to the Oilers. We will be trading Lack or Markstrom

I was looking at the goalie coaches from NYR, OTT, VAN and Rollie to me looks like the best one of the 3. He has also played in our camps. I like our chances, might find out this weekend I hear.

Vancouver is a nice city but let's face it if you have a chance to play in NYC why wouldn't you. It is a lot closer to Boston than YVR

And who would that be next year?

For us? (frank) knows. Nobody on the current roster. Horvat is not the answer but I'm for giving the kid a shot. Remember I'm still a tank nation guy. Play the kids and draft high!

True on that. EDM is apparently still in the mix per Sportsnet. Hear he will make decision by 10am today.

We'll know on B.U. Goalie Matt O'Connor within the hour. I am at a layover in Salt Lake City. Hopefully able to report preflight.

I'm with you there, Benning needs to find a fit for 2C and it will take time. Sutter? Not sure if he's a true 2C. It will take JB time to fill that hole, which I'm ok with.

We need to also find a 1LC , three years passes quick. That is why I am onboard with total failure for the next two years

If we don't tank we will be put in a situation to have to have a Tyler Bozak type 1LC

I don't think Beleskey is any great talent. Kind of like Maroon on the first line. Maroon and Beleskey are 3rd/4th liners. Don't need two quality wingers if you have the right center and at least one quality winger.

IMO Kesler was a playmaking defensive talented threat on the canucks too. He made our team so much better. I don't really want to open the book on kesler's relationship with this team. Too many times this franchise has (frank)ed up it's relationship with it's stars. So many times.

I don't see any other way. I don't buy into the retool on the fly thing. Blow it up, get cap money, rebuild the back end while scouring the league for a 2C, if not draft one.

I have been an advocate of having a tough guy on every line for years . Someone asked me my ideal line up a couple weeks ago. It would be this

Sedin Sedin Kassian
LUcic Bo Virtanen
Beleskey MCCann Sven
Downie Cassels Dorsett

Put Downie Cassels Virtanen together and we can call it the PIM line.

I'm all for adding toughness but the canucks better have two top notch PK units.

Looks great but would it fit under the Cap? Belesky Is going to get a Bryan bickell contract if he keeps scoring. Downie is going to want close to Dorsett.

I have a problem with Lucic, but I did when we got Tiger Williams as well.

Maybe he's been watching the Utica games, the team he will play for should he sign and they trade Markstrom for a 3rd.
