Hopefully Horvat takes over Bonino's spot by Christmas and Boner finds his role on that third line

Matthias and Richardson won't be back. Kenins will make the team over Virtanen.
My best guess for the start of next season (just what I think it will be not what I want)
Sedins/Burrows
Sven/Bonino/Vrbata
Hansen/Horvat/Kassian
Kenins/Vey/Dorsett
Edler/Tanev
Hamhuis/Weber
Sbisa/Corrado - bezz44
I can't see sven getting that high in the roster.....not this season.
I really like burrows/horvat/vrbata for a 2nd line. nice combo |

while I agree with everyone on here that bieksa is abysmal this year I just cant bring myself to rid the team of the toughness and edge he brings.....or maybe Im living in the past with that.

He's been terrible for a while bud. Unfortunately people get attached to certain players and tend to overlook their deficiencies.
It's time for him to move on. |

You don't think they would like to trade Howard to....lets say Edmonton or San Jose. And go into next year with the 1 - 2 punch of Mrazek and Markstrom. |

WD has said in the past that Sven is a top 6 guy. I think that's the role he'll get and either sink or swim. At worst he is playing 3rd line |

WD seems consistent with his need to apply a pecking order and I think rookies will be hard pressed to pass Kenins on the depth chart |

Its not that I havent seen his decline over last 2-3 years. lets face it he's no where near his 2011 performance. 2015 has just been incredibly obvious.
It's more like whos gonna defend the team? Sure theres dorsett....can you rely on 1 guy only?? |

Valk: This second round has been way worse than the dead puck era.

I would think they want a stable vet behind him in case he falters. He's still very young.
I don't see them putting a relatively unproven commodity in Markkstron behind Mrazek.
I could see Detroit going after Brian Elliot. |

I don't care what anyone says about the dead atmosphere at Rogers Arena, it's like the crowd in Tampa didn't realize the game was starting. Hardly a cheer. Amazing. |

Funny thing is, Bonino gets paid like a third liner so no damage done. |

Can you put him on the bottom 3rd pairing? That's a big pill to swallow for a guy like him.
His toughness doesn't do enough to smooth over the bonehead mistakes at critical junctures of the game. |

Atmosphere for a regular season game at Rogers Arena is a joke. I went to Game 5 though and it was spectacular. Huge difference |

ya but he was reluctant with horvat even.
Id still like to see burrows/horvat/vrbatta. The smarts and talent on that line could make it strong 2nd line. All good playmakers and finishers. extremely promising. |

Honestly I don't feel comfortable with him even on the bottom pairing. He's a guy who I could live with as #7 but not for what he makes. |

I would generally agree but I don' t think WD is going to whack a square peg into a round hole. Vey got top 6 time and I also think the age difference between Bo and Sven is critical. I think Burrows starts with the Sedins |

That is not building a second line, that is filling holes. Vrbata one year left Burrows 2 years left. This year is time to start building long term pairs. |
