Rewatch all those times Lou looked like a fool... Many times he was second guessing his D. - rugdnit
wow you sure cant see outside of your view.
btw if you look back I agreed with you that the D finally got what they had coming and people laid off blaming the goalies |

Bud... Practice does not have near the same intensity as games. It's something that's very hard to replicate in practice. - rugdnit
totally agree. But look what it did for game 5. we won....because of a single solitary OVERDUE PRACTICE. its the smoking gun here |

Don't forget our bottom 6 - VANTEL
We have a team full of quality bottom 6 players. I'd argue that our team forward depth was the main reason we made the playoffs. I believe the Canucks were one of the top teams in terms of how many 10+ goal scorers they had. |

And he did for most of the season. Other than his paycheque being an issue he is not. Excellent goalie. - thundachunk
Outside of that one hot stretch he had, I didn't really see it that way. |

Outside of my view? I said last year this D Core was god awful and that if they made the playoffs they were going to get smoked... What happened?
THEY GOT SMOKED. And by the Flames no less who are no powerhouse compared to the elite in this league.
It's too bad it takes screwing over good people before the fans come to the right conclusion about where the blame really lies. It makes it harder to get players to want to come here.
If I'm playing in the NHL I'll take a sunny climate and a paycheck over a fanbase with an angry mob that's looking to burn the witch every time they don't win a cup. |

Miller signing (just like Sbisa) was/is a mistake. Miller didn't impress me one bit, for that kind of money he should be at least stealing a few games, something which he did not do. He's over the hill and I agree, that we probably could of had him at $4-$4.5 million. Once again, a bit of a dubious move by Benning. Hopefully that's the extent of them for next few years. |

Please read what I write....I agreed with that. I also agree with your entire statement here as well. Ive also been saying all year this D has to improve or we have no chance in playoffs.
ya it pretty bad the fans hang the goalies out to dry when its the D the whole time. our goalies have suffered greatly due to fans who dont understand hockey well enough. But lets also face it, a lot of those fans also dont watch games and only check final scores then make blanket judgements on that. |

We have a decent regular season team. If our goal is the President trophy ( that's right Pker /Marwood, we know about you two) then we are well on our way. If we are talking Stanley Cup , we are on a different planet |

All good brother. I just disagree that this D Core can practice through it.
Sorry if my posts ever come off as poor tone or rude.
Good night. Cheers! |

The fact that you can literally pick out the games that he stole says a lot. He stole two points against San Jose early in the season when the team played like shlt and that's about it. |

Building a solid regular season team and building a cup contender are two different things. Can a solid regular season team win a cup? maybe but not when it faces sub par regular season teams that would destroy us in the playoffs. LA, Boston, I think both would have been a force had they made the playoffs. Hell even Florida would have been a good playoff team. |

fair enough, I know you are in the Miller camp. But what did he really do to merit this opinion? Again, as Cuban noted, he didn't steal many games, a guy with such experience and a huge cap hit should be at least able to do that every third or fourth game. He did none of that. And he looked fairly poor in the playoffs as well - other than the one game in Vancouver. So, just curious, what aspect of his game did you like so much? other than perhaps a mentoring role for Lack? |
