Emelin is grossly overpaid that puts a wrench in the entire thing.

Markov I get you have to pay the guy and we all knew the last couple of years would be tougher (although poop not that much tougher)

Subban makes the money, pateryn looks like he could stick around and be sold. Beaulieu is progressing. if they can resign Petry great. at some point Tinordi's gonna have to poop or get off the pot.

I don't have the hate for Emelin that some do but he's the one guy where when you look at salary it just sticks out Josh gorges like

What a (frank)ing disaster that guy's been in the playoffs...turnover machine, scoring into his own (frank)ing net, can't keep up...

Who would have thought the Rangers would be down 3-1?

Playing him 24+ mins for 82 games wasn't good for his legs.

remember when they didn't give him and Price a rest so they could avoid the Lightning?

with the goaltending and defence as is, it just doesn't leave $$ room to go out and upgrade the entire offence.

Habs are OK on cap space. Galchenyuk is the only major signing for next year and given his play this year, he's not going to break the bank.

I'd trade Pleks (won't get much back) and go with Galchenyuk/Eller/Deharnais as your 1/2/3 centers for now. There will be growing pains but at some point, it needs to be done. This should free up enough cap space to get a winger than can score should one become available.

Well said.

Let's just hope that Tinordi's good enough to move Emelin out of town next season.

- WaterBoy

Doubtful. Tinordi has shown that his hockey sense is not up to par for the Big league. Pateryn has been better. With some of the comments coming out of the Tinordi camp over the last year, I would think he is traded in the off season. Tinordi has be Ryan O'Byrne v2.0 so far.

I'd keep Emelin over Tinordi. Emelin has actually been pretty steady this year in the playoffs. I'm sure some of that might Petry

So, trade Plek and have Galchenyuk/Eller/Deharnais for centers and now trade Tinordi?

Gotcha.

Eller is does not have the greatest regular season numbers but he has also never played with quality linemates. I don't expect him to be Ryan Getzlaf but he is bigger than Pleks. Pleks is also tradable, Deharnais is not without something else to sweeten the deal.

Bro, trade Subban and just have Tinordi + Markov for a couple years. There will be growing pains but at some point, it needs to be done. This should free up enough cap space to get a defenseman that can score should one become available.

hi Marty,

it might not be those guys specifically but remember when you said a few pages ago that they have to acquire scorers? It's possible that to acquire them they may have to trade away some players.

Why do you think?
I'll tell you why. It's because he's the worst offensive forward we have. Simple as that. I don't care if he's bigger, he doesn't know what to do with the puck!!!
Now, a team which has problems scoring goals, lets keep our worst offensive player and give him even more responsabilities. That should work out very well...

What has Tinordi ever done on this team besides being a 6'6 pylon?

I guess it could be worse... we could be Rangers fans...

That jersey and everyone who puts it on just causes me shame, I picked the worst organization to root for, epic choke artists, F them, I hope they lose on home ice and get booed
