Vey was traded for Tampa's 2nd which we got for Garrison. - A_SteamingLombardi
And I bet Garrison has way more trade value today even with a NTC. |

There's a few here who think he has a decent chance to make the NHL some day. - EagleNuck
Other than being strong thats about all he has going for him. Kids a bust. Muffin shot. Not a good skater. I watched him live a lot not impressive. |

I would like to know who. Cederholm's best years will be in Portland. If he made the NHL I would be very surprised. - thundachunk
We got the wrong Cederholm
Pre-Draft rankings have his brother as a top 15 pick in the 2016 Draft

He is a big wide kid that skates ok. If he stays in his zone and lays out big hits, fights , and clears out the net who gives a (frank) if he scores. He should concentrate on being a Doug Murray type Dman |

I'm not surprised. As much as I box score scout I try to read reports from people who watch our prospects regularly as well when I comment on them. The consensus on Cederholm is that he's not very promising and I doubt he'll look better playing against bigger and better players in the AHL. |

This D wouldn't be as poop with him over Sbisa getting 20 minutes. I'll take him over Sbisa easily. Not even close. Garrison and his entire extended family should be offended that I even mentioned them together. |

He is big and strong on his skates but not a good skater. When playing against skill players in the W he looks behind the play. You can see he lacks in vision and the ability to match stride with better Junior players than himself. Solid on the boards in his own end but not a great first pass. I might be being a bit hard on the kid but I don't see what some people see I guess. |

Sbisa would look a whole hell of lot better too playing on TB roster than he looks on our roster.
Bonino looked great playing on the Duck last year and then he didn't look so good playing with Higgins |

Garrison looked good during his first year here too and on the Florida freakin Panthers. Last year was his first off year in awhile. Sold low and then bought high on Vey.
Sbisa would look bad anywhere. Ducks fans at HF hated him and laughed at his new contract.
Bonino is a solid player. |

Refresh my memory. Garrison had to agree to waive his no trade clause to go to Tampa. Does that mean that his NTC disappears, or would Tampa have to get him to waive again if they wanted to trade him? |

I read a few years ago that players lose their NTC but I'm not sure if that varies for each contract or has been adjusted since the last lockout. |

They hired him to be an offensive threat, he fell short. He was decent defensively and didn't get caught out of position. We already had Hamhuis and Tanev doing that. You can't have 6 Dmen all playing safe |

Canucks sold low on Garrisson. I didn't agree with that move at all.. felt Bieksa should have been gone before Garrison... he is a solid d man with size and a shot that literally damages players who block it (even if he could never get it through to the net)...
Bieksa would have gotten us the same return, maybe more last season. Now Bieksa isn't even worth a 3rd... |

Nothing wrong with a 30-35 point dman who is solid defensively. I'd rather pay 4.6 milk on for that than 3.6 for a guy who can hit and skate but sucks both offensively abd defensively. |

Yup. Smart move was to force Bieksa out even if the return was bad(couldn't be much worse than Vey),
It says a lot me that smart teams like STL and TB wanted Garrison. |

If they do disappear, that would be a pretty shrewd d!ck move for a team that is in a desirable location. Buy low because you're one of the few teams that the player would be willing to waive for, and then sell high when you can send the player to any team in the league. |

He got first unit PP. He should have been getting more than 7/8 goals a year.
Weber got 11 at 1/5 of Garrisons salary |

If Aquilini is as much of a greaseball as some of us think he is. He should be finding ways to tamper with the scouts of other teams like ANA/DET/WPG/TB and get Delorme and his buddies outta here. |

 I'd do it!
I'm sure a GM would only get way with it once or twice before his team appears on every NTC list. |

But he sucks defensively and this was his first good year(during a contract year too).
So basically:
Garrison @4.6M >> Weber at @900K >> Me or you @500K >> Sbisa @ 3.6M |

Considering all of the scouting that Benning did/still does, he would be the man to do it. I'm sure that he knows most of these guys personally. I know that the Aquilinis aren't loved, but they aren't scared to spend money on the team. |

I can't express how happy I'll be when Bieksa is gone. Just get what little value we can for him.
He is damaged mentally after how bad he got hit by everyone in the calgary series.
