Galchenyuk as per RDS

seems like as soon as he moved back to wing from centre his game went to poop.

I don't know. Looks to me like he's not too strong mentally. A bit like Eller. Much more talented, but easily discouraged.
He's still young though, but now would be a good time to take the next step...

That guy breaks my heart.

he just doesn't shoot the puck. or at least, he doesn't put it on net. he has a ridiculous shooting percentage for his career so far but he won't make it a bigger part of his game.

i've been more frustrated with him than anyone this spring but i agree that we need to wait till he's 23-24 to make a real judgment about him as a player.

Remember that Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher line that game fans so much hope for the future? I don't think they were together once this year

He just turned 21. He has the tools to be a great player.

I think it will come with time, and a bit of stability. Seems he can't find any chemistry with whoever he's playing with at the moment. I was happy to see they reunited the EGG line for last game. Aside from their first shift where they drew a power play for their team, we have not seen much from them.

The many penalties the Habs took kind of killed the flow of the game for them. I hope they reunite them again tonight and they stick to it.

im distracting myself from all this by browsing the Leaf thread. they'll be pretty dangerous after drafting 4, 5, 6, 16, and 24 in the first round this year.

i think next year is time to move to centre though. can't just keep coming back with DD/Plekanec/Eller as your centres and then blame playoff losses on lack of maturity.

Anyway the coach is gone if this series ends as ugly as it started.

Bergevin is a smart guy. He already got pissed once this year that Moen and Borque were being used so much so he took them away.

Who is next though? Julien might be available

I had a little bit of hope earlier this year, but it is now bac to normal. I see that their mental health is not getting any better

Yep, start him at center from training camp on and stick to it no matter what.

Not a chance in hell.

Maybe if things start up ugly next season.

Nobody fires a coach after 3 playoffs appearances, one conference final the year before, and a 110 points season.
