that last goal (or maybe the 5th) on the PP when Kourouchronovyov was just alone on the slot to tip it... I don't know how he didn't start hacking at the 4 habs who were just standing and watching.

From EE at Sportsnet

Here’s what I gathered from a former long-time NHL official after the game:

1. There will be an investigation into Prust’s comments. There are microphones all over the rink, and the audio is accessible to the League. If Prust’s comments are true, the repercussions could be severe for Watson.

2. Watson is unlikely to oversee another game in this series, regardless of whether he said these things to Prust or not. According to the former official: “I’d be beyond shocked if he reffed another game in Round 2, and definitely not in this series.”

3. If Prust’s allegations are proven false, he’ll be subject to a massive fine for publicly defaming an official.

Don't know if that whole thing with Prust was true...If not, he's really an idiot. If it is true, it is unacceptable for a ref to behave that way.

I'm really surprised that Prust did share all of it with the media. I thought that it's the kind of stuff you talk about with your GM.

I guess it can happen when you throw microphones in the face of player when he's still riled up.

Still, there are no excuses, they need to keep their cool and stay focus.

- stinger67

I don't necessarily like the way he behaved.

But I'll take more guys on the habs with that kind of emotion instead of the way Plekanecs plays out there.

Hating to lose isn't a bad thing. And I'd much rather see that than a team that rolls over and dies but does it with 'Class'. (frank) that.

"class" has nothing to do with it.

if you wanna go down fighting then you do it on the ice not by whining that a ref called you names after you argued a call.

It's great when he can play intense and hit.

It's terrible when he loses it like he did last night. There's a difference between and intensity and stupidity.

Last night, it was stupidity.

really? because i'll take guys who have even the slightest (frank)ing clue where the opposing net is. what good did Prust's emottion do last night? that's not Montreal's game. Montreal's game is calm, steady. frustrate the other team and let them get emotional. the poop that Prust pulled last night only hurts the rest of these vaginas.

Having Stéphane Auger on board to comment about the calls is interesting.

Also because we don't have to hear Patrick Lalime between the plays.
