Don't think so. If he was younger yes. Edler would be but Hammer is long in the tooth now - VANTEL
Yeah he has only 1 year left also. I think keep until TDL then sell. Or if he is having a good season sell high. HEY MAYBE HE HAS A GREAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS AND WE GET A 15-20 pick for him. |

I think you could trade him to Edmonton for 2016 first. |

I don't know about a first, I think Chiarelli would want someone a bit younger if he is going to give up a first. |

Not lottery protected either. I want Auston Matthews. |

Hamhuis is still a solid Dman for about 3-4 years . He could help the Oilers now |

I wonder about timo Meier, Mantha wasn't drafted till the 20th or something and he was in a weaker draft. I see him a lot in the 12-18 range. I feel like he could drop to 22-25.
If you care to peek at a selection of crap ones. http://dcprosportsreport.com/NHLMocks.htm |

Ducks sure looked great last night; however, I don't think you can dismiss teams like New York or Montreal (or even Chicago for that matter). Remember, the Ducks are playing an overachieving Calgary team with spotty goaltending. I still stick with my original prediction of Chicago vs New York Rangers. |

I expect Oilers to make a very big trade next year , I am thinking, Weber or Malking to make them selves years ahead.
I tell you I really like Nurse. This could be a very good team very soon |

I don't think there is a chance in hell Hamhuis would waive his NTC to go to Edmonton |

He absolutely could but with the Oilers record of suck I don't see Chiarelli moving a first unless the guy coming back is 30 or younger. For Hamhuis I'd start with a 2nd rounder and add from there. |

Nurse has looked great in these playoffs. The guy was flying all over the ice the one game I saw recently. He's definitely going to be a good one. |

Ever the problem when trying to add players to Edmonton, maybe Chiarelli has an easier time though. |

Oilers get two first rounders this year , plus their history of top 10 players. Do you really need another first rounder next year? |

I would trade for him in a heartbeat but it would be too costly |

No but if it turns out to be a lottery pick I think it's worth a lot more than Dan Hamhuis, don't want to see another Kessel for Seguin + Hamilton type deal. |

Would you agree to go to Edmonton? if you had family here and were originally a B.C. boy. To go to a very small city where it's extremely cold for most of the year and to a team that is years from making any sort of playoff noise? |

Edmonton won't have problems anymore with Chirelli Nichols McDavid Nurse and Hall |

Edmonton is a lot nicer these days. It is not small at all. Even if it was Smithers is what 6-8 hours away?
I think he would ask himself who gives him a better chance at a cup. |

That could help, as he's got a winning pedigree and you know he will turn the team into a competitor sooner than later. I just don't think Hahmuis would waive, since his whole family is here in BC |

I think that combined with whoever they hire as coach and adding McDavid is going to change the dynamic in Edmonton. |
