Higgins and bieksa will be moved. - VANTEL
They're the most obvious and likely candidates.
Edler is interesting and personally he would be the guy I move. Our D would be even more atrocious but you'd be getting full value for a player who probably will be old during the peak years of the guys who are coming up. I don't see him as a character kind of guy that you hang on to for leadership. If we got say a 1st and a good prospect that would be money |

Yea we looked at the same mocks I think - bezz44
LOL there are only so many out there from 2 years ago. I made my own on Draft site for this year. So when van drafts the guy who i figure I have it on writing on the internet. I've somehow managed to guess correctly who van will draft in the 1st round since nick jensen. I even managed to get bo and hunter in the same draft because i'm never sure how many picks we will have so i pick 3 players for every round including rounds where we don't have picks. I've never been right other then the 1st round. |

Edler, Hamhuis and Bieska can all go imo! all for one pick and one prospect preferably one closer to being nhl ready. |

I don't think that's necessarily true. Bo just turned 20 and seems poised to make a run at the 2C spot this year. I don't expect him to be a top line player but I wouldn't say it's out of the question. - bezz44
Based on what I've seen to date and the progress he's made in just one year, I think he's more than likely to be a top line player. Of course, there have been many a player who teased us with skill and grit only to fall by the wayside. However, I really think Bo is the real deal. I can't wait to see what he can do with a little more experience and continued work on his skating and strength/conditioning. One of the few players that I'm quite excited about (along with Virtanen and McCan) |

I think that's a little too much to give up for a pick and a prospect (although depends on the value of the pick). I think Hamhuis alone would fetch at least a quality prospect and fairly decent draft pick. |

No point in wasting assets when you can get value
My asking prices would be:
Bieksa: 3rd rounder or 2nd + cap dump
Hamhuis: 1st
Edler: 1st + blue chipper |

He's got deceptive hands and the way he made incredible end-end rushes this year has me thinking that next year could be a 40 point or higher season |

I agree, he's also big and strong for such a young kid, and will only get stronger as he fills in. His skating has already improved and, like his strength, will only get better with time. He has good hockey sense and is deceptive as you noted. He's also got a great shot and a nose for the net. That one end to end rush where he blew by everyone, including the defender and then flipped the puck up over the goalie into the net was a thing of beauty, even reminiscent of, yes, I'll go there, Pavel Bure |

Who's your guess for this year?? - bezz44
In most years the top 30 have been the top 30 but this year there are a lot of players from the 20-40 that could swap in and out. So at 23 right now hard for me to say. My current selection is Jansen Harkins. With the fall of Oliver Kylington also a possibility. |

Strikes me as more of a Kopitar than a Bure, though with less size |

Kylinton or Pilon - VANTEL
I just saw Pilon as 30 first time I've seen him in the first round but i'd put him closer to 35-45 |

From what I've read about Harkins he's a very "Benning" pick. And I wouldn't be surprised if Benning ignored our lack of D prospects because he really wanted "his guy." Kylington seems like a no-brainer if he's there. |

Other then Chara they didn't really have a stand out defence men in Boston. I wonder if he prefer grit or just steady reliable defence men. |

24 in NA skaters sure. Not everyone is after a defence men. Also doesn't include about 8 guys from europe that are probably ahead of him. |

Jake Debrusk might be a good pick for Van if you believe some of the scouting reports. |
