I hope you know that Detroit has a streak of 20 plus years of Post season play. The AHL is experience. Once you show a team that you are more then capable of beating up on AHL players and show you are capable of playing in the NHL, the team will allow you to play. Have to show that you are capable and most if not all teams will have someone that is capable. Rookie just has to show he is more capable then the vet. - manvanfan
No... I'm from Reno Nv... I don't know $h!t about hockey.

Anyone else still mad that Calgary beat the Nucks?
Watching men play against Calgary last night should have made it pretty obvious that making the playoffs was a really good plan ( Detroit model of picking low via early exits ). |

"There are still nine players remaining from the Vancouver’s 2011 Stanley Cup Final team and all of them have no-trade clauses, although winger Chris Higgins has a limited NTC and can’t force the Canucks to keep him.
Excluding 25-year-old defenceman Chris Tanev, whose limited NTC is irrelevant because he just signed a $22.25-million US contract and isn’t going anywhere, the average age of these tenured Canucks will be 32.5 at the start of next season.
It’s possible, but unlikely, that all will be back."

You would have to actually implement the Detroit model first. We haven't developed a draft pick since 2004? |

Given what they've got right now, I want this to be the line up on opening night next season.
Sedin Sedin Burrows
Virtanen Horvat Kassian
Baertschi Bonino Vrbata
Dorsett Mccann Hansen
Shinkaruk
Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Corrado
Weber Sbisa
Trade Higgins for a 3rd rounder
Trade Jensen and Bieksa for a top 5 pick. GMs will be lining up to acquire Bieksa.
Blow it up and trade everyone over the age of 32 at the deadline. - hankthetank
I wouldn't mind this at all. |

Someone bought a bottle of that and left it at our house, I've never opened it...sorta good? - LeftCoaster
It's a $9 bottle if wine. You get what you pay for. A buddy brought one to our place one time, so the next time we went to watch a game at his house, I brought him a 40oz Old English. They're equivalent. |

You put up a picture of someone who stepped straight into the league?
We did develop a few in Grabner and Raymond and Coho but well none of them play for Van. |

Kings cans of import beers my preference. I haven't acquired a taste for any wine yet. Until i've run out of beer then whatever I have randomly selected for the fiancé to drink that night then goes into my glass. |

He started the season here and didn't play. Ended up in Utica for a bit. Got his chance with the club and did a fair job by himself. Between that moment and the end of the year he was developed under the Vancouver Canucks organization. I don't see how it doesn't count as development. Does the trainer need to grab Bo's legs and move them back and forth to work on sprinting for it to count as development? Sometimes just leaving someone to do something themselves and not meddling can be critical to the process. If Bo was buried in the OHL this year and the AHL for a few more years, how does he turn out? |

Technically not true, he played one year, after his draft year, in London before he made the jump. |

Idk how he turns out. I don't know how he would turn out playing this season in the NHL. He only went to utica for a conditioning stint. Development to me is what Gaunce and Shinkaruk are doing. If you can take an NHL roster spot that's not developing, that's developed. |
