Alain Vigneault is LIVID.

Guy is about to have a heart attack he is so angry.

- classic321

Did he ever show that much heart in Van?

Wait... He did throw his gum that one time...

Then there was the lozenge thing.....

I'm rooting for Anaheim too, but it's like rooting for the Yankees, you feel shame and humiliation and the sense that you're slowly slipping to the Dark Side. I just can't root for Calgary, reminds me too much of Chicago in '09 and '10 when they beat us in the second round those two years.

No doubt. But something about Boudreau's blank stare sends me into a rage.

Can you tell me how long prospects like Palat, Johnson, Kutch, Namestnikov, Nesterov toiled in the minors as part of Tampas' extensive development process?

2. The answer is 2 years.

By comparison Detroits Development model is typically 3 to 4.

So why would you choose Detroits model over Tampa?

Why would a prospect want to play for Vancouver if they know they are going to be stuck in the minors for 3 to 4 years ? Anything can happen in 3 to 4 years like a career ending injury or you languish there and find yourself stuck behind some bum who has a tough contract.

IMHO you are wasting players talent / ability / productive years if they are forced to stay too long.

You need that Youth and with the right mix of vets you can live with their mistakes.

Vets make mistakes too... Cough*Edler*Cough Cough*Bieksa*Cough.....

EDIT-- Apologize for my argumentative tone.

2 years sounds about right, depends on the player though

I think I prefer the "doesn't look like a cartoon character" type. I can't stand Claude Julian for the same reason. Dude looks like Bill from King of the Hill.

Good hockey is good hockey. I just relax and enjoy the show. Now that we are out I am less stressed and can watch without bias.

Don't think I've ever been so enamoured by a beer that I was willing to drive to Tsawassen and wait 2 hours for my sis' ferry to get there, just so that I can get to the liquor store before it closes and pick up a poop ton of P49 N2 Milk Stout

I can't get a job with no experience.

How can I get experience without a job.

Point is young players want to know you are not going to leave them buried where they will plateau at some point and rot.

Tampa has done a much better job in recent history than Detroit with their prospects.

I hope you know that Detroit has a streak of 20 plus years of Post season play. The AHL is experience. Once you show a team that you are more then capable of beating up on AHL players and show you are capable of playing in the NHL, the team will allow you to play. Have to show that you are capable and most if not all teams will have someone that is capable. Rookie just has to show he is more capable then the vet.
