I didn't buy the presser, bull shyte.

a) You want to get younger
b) You want to challenge for a Stanley Cup
c) Your not going backwards

How does that work?

Unfortunately it is not up to me , otherwise we would be drafting Mc Jesus.

It depends on Canucks management philosophy , that is why us armchair GMs have plan A B and C

At the end of the day I don't buy this partial rebuild. When and how do we replace our top line? Are those players currently in the system? Is there a plan in place? If the answer is no, everything you heard today is a load of crap.

I think they are just taking a step back and evaluating. It is too soon to start showing cards. They will figure it out

What did you expect? MGT was never going to throw players under the bus or tip their hand as to what they really plan to do in the offseason. It serves no purpose and could put them at a disadvantage with teams they've identified as having players they want.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, this is only year 1 of a 4-5 year plan, people need to stop looking at next season and understand that this team is going to be handicapped until the NTC contracts expire and those players can be replaced. That's not easy, nor is it going to happen overnight.

I know, it just didn't make sense to me? You can't have it both ways. What I do know however is regardless of this years spin, EDM & CAL will be more difficult to deal with next year. No cards to show, you need Aces and a Joker.

This was never a 4-5 year plan, it was rebuilding on the fly.

Edmonton won't be in the post season. They are adding McDavid to a team that finished with the third worst record in the league accidentally. Even Toronto strapping a jet pack on and pointing it down couldn't catch them. They will be better, but they are not a playoff team.

Honestly there's a lot that factors into that, I don't think you can unequivocally say that until you see what changes are made and who's coaching them.

If they don't improve on D and in net, more of the same. NYI went from 5th last to the playoffs by adding a goaltender, two good dmen and some good depth forwards.

They have lots of options available to take the next step (picks, core, prospects). VAN not so much.

I'm ok with both, it's just not enough to keep up with the rest of the division.

I know this may shock a few folks, but, I wish the Sedins would entertain a trade for a chance at a Stanley Cup. The return, even at their age would be phenomenal. NYI a good fit playing behind JT and they've got the prospects and cap to pull it off.

Just a thought! I'm really tired of the same old same old...sorry.
