Any interest in Justin Williams? - Gullzy
I'm a JW fan, but not of paying guys for past performances. He can go to Pitt. |

I hate the idea of paying guys for past performances too, but I think there's a tangible difference between one off performances and a solid track record. Dude has a solid track record and could be had without giving up any current assets (except money & cap space). If this team is going to "retool", they'll have to dip into FA to make other guys expendable. Hopes are that the expendable player brings you futures in the form of draft picks or prospects. If your goal is to stock up on draft picks, without sacrificing prospects (and their development), this is the way to do it. |

I don't want to sign another guy in his thirties. He does have a track record , but he had the Los Angeles Kings supporting him not a bunch of old men like the Canucks |

It was a good game - lots of action and offense. That Baptiste kid looked great (then again playing for a stacked team - well, stacked meaning Connor Mac & Co) |

I couldn't quote marwood, but could quote you. Kind of strange.
I agree mostly with what you said but won't mind if we keep Burrows and Weber... |

Keep Burr, Trade for a solid top four dman. Keep Weber as a PP specialist.
Trade or Buyout Bieksa.
Bring up Virtanen.
Try to get younger.
Throw a roast in the slow cooker.
Go to work. |

I keep hearing buy out Bieksa everywhere. If he doesn't want to waive , and we buy him out , we are stuck with a Cap hit. If we put him on waivers Buffalo would pick him up in 5 minutes. No cap hit then |

I'm sure that he'll waive if they ask him to. I doubt that he'll pull a Costanza, but the list of teams that he's willing to go to will likely be underwhelming. |
