The Leafs might be well served to investigate what else would be involved to facilitate a Kessel swap for Malkin. It might require giving up Gardiner too, but regardless what Gino says about wanting to stay in Pittsburgh, moving to T.O. to be the "go to" guy, might just be the motivation he needs to reach his potential. Kessel definitely needs a change in scenery, and a sniper on the wing might be just what the doctor ordered for Crosby.
Is this possible? I doubt it, but interesting to think about.
What packages do you see making this work, for both sides!?!

Devils should just rebuild the proper way, I don't think the addition of Kessel makes them a contender or even a playoff team next year. Take your time, it usually creates a better product. |

As far as I know, clowe's contract is insured so we don't really benefit that much from getting rid of him like Columbus did with Horton. |

Lou's a GM who thinks his team always has a chance to win the cup in any given year. That one cup run gave him hope when they had no business being there. He's also shown his willingness to trade picks and prospects. NJ is a likely landing spot for Kessel but so are some other teams. |
