they still have zoos? sorry, I just feel ill whenever I see animals cooped up (people laughing 'oh look, will he put it on? oh I don't know, do you think he'll put it on? put it on, you dummy monkey!! mummy, the big monkey likes to live in a tiny house, doesn't he? mummy, do the monkey's like being looked at? yes, dear, monkey's love people and living in squalor and caged like that.. now go throw some popcorn like the moron we're teaching you to be - they like it a lot!! stupid monkey, put on the god damn jersey!! Gawd, they sure are dumb, huh?
(sorry, I don't mean to take over the board with a non-hockey comment but it's a touchy subject with me - they need to abolish all zoos - and that includes aquariums - Zogg
Aquariums I agree with, particularly the ones that make that animals perform, but unfortunately with the way the world is going, zoos are one of the only things preventing some of their animals from going extinct.

I think it would be a tough sell. Oshie is like a more talented Burrows, so not sure what we could offer up in return? (how about Burrows? ) - Zogg
Puts up more points than Burrows, is 28, Shoot-Out specialist, fairly strong on the puck, tougher than the vast majority of our lineup. For a 2C he's a decent option and I don't think you'd have to give up the moon for him.
Let's put it this way, if we had Oshie as our 2C instead of Bonino I'd feel better about our chances tonight. |

Aquariums I agree with, particularly the ones that make that animals perform, but unfortunately with the way the world is going, zoos are one of the only things preventing some of their animals from going extinct. - CubanBuffet
Sadly, yes, there is that component, but not sure which is worse, seeing the animals having to live like this or just letting them live in their natural environments but nonetheless subject to human interference. I guess I would take the lesser of the two evils.
I agree that we need to protect all of these creatures - it would be great if they could even follow the San Diego model, where it seems animals have a much larger and more natural environment to live in. Or some of the game preserves in Africa where animals are basically to the point of extinction were it not for being protected by these much more natural game 'farms'
And yes, I agree with you about aquariums. How you can let such marvelous creatures live and forced to perform in a tiny tank is criminal and barbaric. Man really is an a*sshole. As someone said, once everything is gone and destroyed, mankind will realize that they can't eat money. Let's hope there is a substantial change in the stewardship of the earth and its many diverse creatures/flora before it's too late (if it already isn't) |

as vancity mentioned, planting palm trees to entice Kesler to come back (you know, all those palm trees in California n such).
Incidentally, sounds like a hell of a lot of work - do you have a green thumb or? |

Uhhhh,I was commending Micheal Ferland for overcoming alcoholism, going through rehab and living the dream.
Guys a thorn in our side. But the story of his re-emergence is pretty phoenomenal - vancity787
I didn't know he had problems with alcoholism. That's a cool story. Of all the pests that have given the Canucks problems over the years he is probably the first I respect |

Lots of people mention Canucks first round exits but seldom do people talk about Penguins. When is the last time they won a playoff? |
