I never said they play alike, I said they remind me of one another with their contributions offensively. I see Jensen in the NHL as a 12 to 18 goal scorer, same as Higgins current game.
Agree with Higgins work ethic, time for him to go though…I've seen enough of his game to want him gone!! - LeftCoaster
Even that projection seems optimistic right now since I'm not sure he'd even get the games or ice time from a coach to reach those totals. Even making a team will be a challenge for him. |

I found myself cheering for it to go to OT and to a game 7, just because it was a very entertaining series. I'd love to see a rematch next year. - Zezel
Unless we improve the gap will be less entertaining |

Only because they allow charging in the playoffs. If they didn't, he'd be drinking in the penalty box. - AlexF
Now that is a funny post. |

I really hate to blame the coach, however WD has to own some of this as well. |

And forwards - VANTEL
We've got some good young players in Shinkaruk, McCann and Virtanen coming up, not to mention the Sedins, Vrbata and Horvat, who aren't going anywhere.
Top six forwards are just so hard to find unless you draft them. I like how they developed Bo this year, started him on the fourth line and generally increased his minutes until he really gained confidence. Hopefully a few other young guys can follow suit. |

Next year will probably be CAL - EDM, the battle of Alberta...I'm ok with that as it stands today.

Fully agree. They got their shot and no longer can blame the coach for their failures since this is the third coach this core has had(although I'd argue WD got-outcoached in this series more than AV ever did).
They lost to arguably the team they had the best chance at beating in the Western playoffs so that says a lot. - Alpha_Nuck
I don't think WD got out coached. He didn't have the Horses. You can't play Horvat and the Sedins 60 minutes. After those three the talent drops off very fast. Higgins second liner. Hansen a Burrows first liners. Give me a break. |

This. How was he supposed to coach that D Core? When the D Core cannot execute-- What do you do?

Toronto's in a complete rebuild mode. Why would they take on a 34 year old goaltender who makes 6 mil per season? - Canuckleafer
To get free cap space tied up in Kessel. |

You nailed it. That's why he should have gone into a full tear down last year. |

I think they will expose our gio absence ...their entire fwd group will be banging all series ....why the Canucks chose to not try and throw the body on them is a mystery to me - Redmile247
Wasn't really a choice |

Up 3-0 and again 4/3 in this game and they lose to a team playing without their best player. This team deserved to be bounced in round one.
The optimists can be as positive as they want but the Canucjs are officially in no-man's land. They have an old, expensive core that is decent enough to keep the team in the playoff hunt but not even close to being contenders again. And lack prospect depth. We're going to be in for a rough ride, I say speed up the process with a legit rebuild. Benning has some serious convincing to do with all of these NTC's though. - Alpha_Nuck
Benning is pretty much where Feaster was 2.5yrs ago. The real question: would he trade the Sedins? And how? That is a crazy cap package.
Also, what is everyone's verdict on Baert? I didn't see a lot out of him, but it seemed like he didn't get enough time to know either. |
