I was driving through the city yesterday and heard Botchford on 1040 go on a tirade on WD re the Sedins' playing time through the series. Much of what we've already said here but it was the impassioned rant about it that had me chuckle.

Paraphrasing his key point:
If the Sedins had played 7 minutes in the 3rd period of Game 1 (as they did in Game 5) instead of 4 minutes the Canucks would have controlled the play and taken the game. "You cannot convince me otherwise."

He's right. In certain situations during the playoffs you have to ride your best players(Sedins, Tanev/Edler, etc).

The current core have never done it. The most I can recall them down in a series to turn it around and win it was only 1 game.

That said, if you look at the teams that have kicked us out of the playoffs in years past (SJ, LA, BOS, CHI, ANA) this CGY team is the weakest of all of those opponents.
