Ha ha ha. The team was just exposed for what they are, a mediocre squad that will be worse next year. |

I'll give Gillis' group some credit there. The kid is exactly what this team needs. Loved the hustle! Now the canucks only need to find 10 more of him to make this team a contender again. |

Like I said to Vantel, trades or UFA's won't fix things, the draft just goes to the talent pool. Need to pick top 5 a few years like everyone else. - VanHockeyGuy
Two players that could bring back good returns are Vrbata and Weber.
Weber has inflated numbers and could get maybe a decent player coming back.
Although Vrbata had 31 goals he was invisible in the playoffs. Most teams are looking for a thirty goal scorer , so he could get back a player maybe who is ready to jump into the 20 goal plus range next year that is young |

Heart and soul, lead by example type of player. I think there's no better player to learn that kind of leadership from than Henrik |

Overall, a season where the team overachieved. It was supposed to be a 12 - 10th conference finish but the boys kept it the top 3 almost the entire season.
Horvat, Kennins... this was a great year to watch the two of you develop and I think I am not the only one to suggest that one day the "C" will be worn by Bo.
Miller and Lack, good years by both. Lack is so strong in the hearts of the community.
Some of our D is looking a little slower of foot and I look forward to Weber and Tanev becoming stronger statesmen on the team.
We may have seen the last of Higgins... although you are a good penalty kill guy, you are in the top six to score as well as defend.
We may have seen the last of Burrows as well as it would be better to develop a young stud while the Sedins can train him.
As for the Sedins..... *Clap, Clap, Clap* --- Hall of Fame Careers. Everyone wishes you had a ring but not everyone gets one. But not everyone is on a 1000 point pace for their career (on a single team).
Lastly, Coach.... welcome to Vancouver.
Entertaining year guys.
To all the regs and mods.... thank you for a nice community. |

After being down 3-1 I expected them to be out in 6 max. I'm already over it. |

but that's really up to linden and aquallini. They got to let go of this notion that we have to make the playoffs while they rebuild. A year or two out of the playoffs will not destroy this franchise as long as they are making real progress towards a youth movement. |

Get over it! I bet you don't drink!! - VanHockeyGuy
Actually, I've been quietly ingesting some lovely cognac since 6 pm.
And no I will not get over it! if you get over it it means that all is ok and that everything is fine and let's just hide this under the carpet sort of thing. Well, I hate to tell you, it's NOT @#$@# fine, it's not ok, and most of all it's UNACCEPTABLE that the team laid a huge-ass egg today in its most important game of the year (what does that tell us in the grande scheme of things? well, I will tell you, the Canucks have no @#$@#$ heart... not to mention defense or secondary scoring and until that is remedied we will see new and exciting ways to watch the Canucks lose). We have a lot of crushed hardcore Canucks fan right about now. Yes, if there is a more heartbreaking way to lose a hockey game, the Canucks will find one. |

One was into an empty net, he really had one goal, which was sweet, in six games, that's not enough. |

Dany and Hank don't count they are lifers. I think Bonino Mathias Richardson are out. |

Honestly would be okay if Edler was traded. He's coming off a great season and is significantly older than many of the guys coming up the pipeline (hopefully). If he's gone our D will be brutal but it's no world beater as is. If he can grab us something good to speed up the rebuild I'm in. Tanev is no #1 but neither is Edler, and IMO Edler is more valuable |
