Actually there never were any expectations, however the center of the universe is a different story. Look at the bright side you won't make the playoffs next year either and will draft top 5 again!

About the only two players who actually played with heart and gave it their all. I'm disgusted with pretty much the entire roster (Burrows notwithstanding). How much @#$@$# skill do you need to play defense and shut down a team when leading 3-0? how is that f*cking possible? oh wait, it's the @#$@#$ Canucks, they can do ANYTHING to screw things up

(frank)in calm down, horvat played well as did Hansen & Vrbata...the other forwards are third and fourth liners playing above their skill level because that's what we've got.

As mentioned, Benning has been on the job ten months, it's gonna take time to fix the last few Gillis years.
