That is such a bad idea it's, it's.. there are no words.

Dropping out of the Strome, Hanifin, and Marner picks and into the Crouse, Rantanen, and Provorov picks is EXTREMELY risky.

Could end up being a drop from a 1st liner to a 2nd liner

The Leafs are poop and whoever they draft automatically becomes like their 3rd best player. So why give up something to move up 1 spot

They Leafs already pulled off the transaction of the year when they circumcised the Clarkson albatross, I can't underestimate Shanny after that.

Those chi-chi's are abundantly wonderful.

Its a complete poker face game for Yotes and Leafs. Neither is going to let on who they are going to pick. If Yotes find out Leafs badly want Strome, well guess who they are going to say they are going to take, even if they have no intentions on selecting him and going for Hanifin.

Or, Yotes could just be spiteful and take whatever Leafs want just to be a jackass, ala Brian Burke/Brian Murray and Kadri. Gotta admit, that youtube clip still makes me chuckle though!

Either way, not sure its worth the Leafs trying to make an offer for thrid overall, could end up being too much and in the end a complete bluff by Yotes and Strome being available anyways.
