Reality,

If Arizona is ok moving down, it means they don't really want Strome in the first place and see Hanifin or Marner as the better pick for them.
from a Leafs perspective, if they are willing to flip, you know they probably wouldn't take Strome anyways, and therefore, there is no real need to overpay as if you stay where you are, you probably end up with Strome anyways.

Marner makes sense for Arizona as they are already packed with D prospects and Marner has a history with Domi.

Every year there is the ramp up to the draft, all kinds of trade speculation..............and every year, nothing happens! Nothing. The draft essentially gives a team some level of talent at a very cost effective price, for a number of years. In these days of the cap, nobody ever turns their nose up at that. I hope this year is different but can't see it.

only Kessel for the #3 pick?

No one from the leafs have even commented on it. If they had it would be all over tsn. The Toronto media really like Strome there's a difference. No way should they trade up unless it was to get Marner.
