Do you like McClellan potentially taking over? It seems to me SJ has developed some good young talent from within over the last couple of years. - ravishingone
The more I think about it, the more and more I like McClellan. He'd be a great choice to coach the Flyers.

I still think Babcock is the ideal choice obviously (though will probably be tough as he will be highly sought after) but I'm a big fan of McClellan coming here. He seems like a bright guy and good hockey mind.

Don't know why, but I've realized I don't like the Jets too much.
I'm sure the Bufflin factor is heavily in play here. |

I also think it's because they play up this crowd. A decibel reading? Seriously? Shut the hell up already. They're loud and wearing white shirts. Big (frank)ing deal. |

Whatever, as long as they lose to Chicago so we get a 2nd rounder in 2016 |

If waiting for Babcock means possibly losing out on McLellan, I'm ok with moving on from Babcock. All indications are that he wants a say in player personnel and maybe even a dual GM role. I think Toronto or Pitt are incredibly more likely to land him than us. |

That's an additional benefit. But I'm more focused on the Flyers getting a better pick |

Its a hick town, what do you expect. Also the most racist city in Canada apparently. That was on national news a few months ago. |

I'm actually not. I'm rooting for one of my all time favorite Flyers first. The pick is the gravy for me |

It's the same with the Seahawks. You gotta admit though the crowd is pretty intense. Hard to imagine it doesn't have an effect on the Ducks players.

The Flyers games I've gone to in that MTS center have been pretty loud I have to say.
Nothing personal against you boys in Philly, but at least on the TV that Flyers crowd might as well be a ghost town. |

Nahh. Its just fun to be part of the excitement first hand. A hockey city in the playoffs. Cant imagine what that must feel like in Philadelphia where it would be the actual team I root for.
For all those interested in Buff though, he is showing his positives and negatives a lot this season. Good at carrying the puck, big hitter, offensive threat. Dumb and out of position a lot too. |

True. It all depends on how fast DET gets eliminated as McClellan isn't likely to make any decision until after the world tourney anyway. But I agree that if pursuing him means likely missing out on McClellan then I go for McClellan

The Spectrum used to get raucous. The new building isn't as loud, until they play that horrid techno music |

It's not as loud as WPG but it's defiantly a lot louder than it sounds on TV. The 'Peg stadium also has a lot to do with how loud it is up there. |

I will say I do think some of it depends on which feed you have.
I was switching between the Ducks and Jets feeds trying to find the better quality and the Ducks put some kind of damper on the crowd noise. Huge difference.

The Flyers feed does seem to put more emphasis on the Commentators then stadium noise.
I couldn't tell you how it compares to other feeds though as I never really thought about it until now |
