Just random here. But I've got ideas for ways to up scoring like the nhl wants without having to make drastic changes. If they just think outside the box..,
1. Goalies are not allowed the net water bottle (skate to bench)
2. Clamp down on line changes. Skates of the departing player must be off the ice before the incoming player touches ice
3. Do not allow players to slide along the ice in an attempt to block a pass or shot in any fashion. This includes going to a knee |

That also seems pretty inhumane. Decrease the quality of your goaltending league-wide by decreasing the hydration of your goalies league-wide. At the very least it's controversy fuel. |

sure, can't wait for Georges Vezina to be dug up out of his grave and put in the net next. if he falls over, he gets fined. What is this? 1915? |

Nah that 3rd one's bad, too. Don't allow desperation plays anymore? Way to take a lot of excitement out of the game. The 2nd one might have something to it, though. |

The excitement would be replaced with goals. I think it's safer. There's one goalie out on the ice need to get back to that |

Will say, if anyone wants to see a loud crowd, that Anaheim/Jets game starts in 30 min I believe.
Hard not to get caught up in a bit of the excitement, as the city is buzzing. Havent seen the energy like this since moving here in '97.
Will be a 'white-out' in the stands. |

I disagree, I think the whole idea seems draconian. |

It's cheaper for a Jets fan to buy a ticket for an away game in Anaheim, fly to California, stay a night, and fly back than for them to just buy a home ticket. I think they start at $50 in Anaheim and like $750 in Winnipeg. |
