Time will tell. Do you think Morin is going to make the team next year?

It's very possible.

The last time the Flyers won the Cup, I was just a kid. I'd certainly like to see one again, and I think that I will. When I was younger, I lived a died with the Flyers. When they got knocked out of the playoffs, I was crushed, and was depressed for weeks after. I guess as I've gotten older, it's not like that anymore. I personally love this franchise, and love being a Flyers fan, and wouldn't want that any other way. I've enjoyed the hell out of the ride, and love how the Flyers have operated as a franchise. They haven't always been perfect, but they've always tried to win. Lot's of bad luck along the way, and running into some better team, has kept them from skating the Cup more. I personally think the Flyers will be back pretty quickly to where they always are, among the tops of the NHL. I'm looking forward to the journey in the future.

I don't expect the Flyers to have 8 defenseman on one way deals when camp rolls around.
- MJL

I don't think so either.

But until there are less I am just going by what is on the roster right now.

How many units of possibilities

I'm thinking maybe around 18 possibilities.

I hope so. The fact Morin was taken ahead of Morrissey and Pulock is worrisome.
- PLindbergh31

You act like Morrissey and Pulock are already in the NHL and excelling. They're not. Morin put up points at a higher rate than Morrissey this season in the CHL.

I can see the Devils trading down if Hanifin is available at 6. You think a team like CBJ or SJ would pony up a good offer.

My mock goes

mcDavid
Eichel
Strome
Hanifin
Marner
Bazal
Provorov

- AGL_91

I think the Leafs will take a center in this draft. My gut tells me that Hanifin falls to 5th, or further.

Fair enough. I guess I'm putting too much stock in the WJC.

If both Hanifin and Provorov are gone by 7th do you take Barzal or Rantanen? (Assuming they are still on the board.)

Barzal. Great playmaker. Can seem him getting pushed to wing, if needed.

The Flyers are currently low on Finns, now that we've traded the Finnish God of Defense, so I'm all in on drafting Rantanen.

Agreed. Rantanen's size is tantalizing but Barzal seems more like a sleeper pick to me. Wouldn't be unhappy either as long as it's not Crouse
