Dubinsky wasn't on the Rangers last year.

Would you guys stop making Esa Tikanen mug Crosby constantly?

Also, everyone SC winner since 05/06 has had at least one player whose last name ended in "S" on their playoff roster. So, unless you have a player whose last name ends in "S" on your team, you cannot win the Stanley Cup.

Thank God for Craig Adams and Thomas Greiss.

Thank god the Rangers signed Kevin Hayes. Otherwise, we would have had to depend on Rick Nahs, and who the hell wants to do that?

The Rangers are the favorite, but not by as much as some think.

You are right. The people that think the Pens will be swept in 2 games do not understand the number of games needed to advance to the next round. This sweep series will go the full 4 games.

I hope they play a fight-filled series. Would be great to see Troy Loney and Darren Langdon have a go.

Was .5 year of Daniel Winnik worth a 2nd and a 4th round pick? Of course not, but its the deadline and teams mortgage future potential for the present.

Yes.. without him there's a chance we don't make playoffs. Plus he'll be resigned. He's fit in nice and no GM gives that much up and doesn't resign him when he'll come cheap.

Thanks for explaining this.... It's like some people think 9 holes is a "round" of golf. Really it's 18. Hope I've helped you with that bit of info.

Look, I know Ranger fans think this series is over before it starts. Hmmm...

Can we hold the Rangers to 1 or 2 goals per game? It would be tough but it may be necessary. Can we score more than 3 goals per game? Not likely, although Lundqvist may be out of form as he has not played much. Early in the season he is a notoriously poor starter. Maybe we might see that.

I see the key as whether or not our defense and goal tending will measure up. If it does we have a chance. We shall see.

Rangers Corsi has declined sharply over the last 20 games, the Rangers have also earned 29/40 points in that time. You're also saying low Corsi is overcome by high shooting and save %. In other words capitalizing on chances and clutch goaltending wins. How novel!

In other words, good pitching and defense beats good hitting. Again, fancy stats are tools, not the gospel

Even if we hold them to 1/2 GPG, it won't matter since we don't seem to have too good of a chance of scoring 1. Even those games where we put 38-40 SOG, most of the shots were into the goalie's chest. And no one crashes the net besides Hornqvist (and sometimes Perron).

Such a different feel to entering the playoffs this year. I don't feel anxious about this year at all. I have a whatever happens, happens attitude. I don't feel like they should or have to win. I like this underdog feeling for once. Just wish Tanger was available. I do however, think there is one bright side to Tanger being out and it's that there wont be as many risks taken. Sometimes these risks end up as turnovers.

I am really REALLY afraid of this scenario:

Penguins win the Cup and Sutter is the Playoffs MVP with 67 Goals 119 A and +134 rating and then we resign him to a 9-year contract at $12mil/year.
