One could also suggest that goalies got better once Roy's butterfly technique became widespread.
It's probably a combination of a bunch of factors, but goalies DID suck. |

Its all relative and I think thats the point. Goalies had to develop at a rate to keep pace with other developments, slapshots, size , speed etc |
