in all seriousness, wouldn't it be interesting to see a trade just to help a team get in to the playoffs? Despite the fact that said player wouldn't get to play in them?
Trade Ennis to San Jose for "future considerations" and then just have them trade him back to us in the off season for the same "future considerations"

They would but if they made it into the playoffs then those players would be ineligible to play in them.

So find this kind of interesting. Stream I am watching is Toronto feed and on the intermission report Maclean was defending Buffalo and saying he thinks it is garbage that just cause McDavid was in the draft this year they changed the odds for the lottery.

Just change it to you can't draft 1st overall more than once every 3-5 yrs.

I feel everyone forgets Quebec drafted 5th, 3rd, 1st, 1st, 1st, and 4th 1988-92.
