I kinda like the idea of Strome personally. Got to see him in person about 2 weeks ago. He's got good vision. He didn't lead the OHL in scoring this year because he's a bum.

Me too. I think when you're picking between Strome and Marner, it's going to be the type of talent you want for the future rather than BPA. Strome has that size to enter the NHL earlier. Marner has those wheels and better 3 way play. They're both dogs with a bone..Strome's brilliant in the face off and he's pass first as opposed to Marner's shoot first mentality. I see Strome entering the NHL either next year or the year after, and Marner in at earliest next year.

Just got home from hockey, and lost 10-7. It's a point/period style playoffs, so we managed 1/5. In 4 games we have 15.5/20 points.

I feel like the Sabres (in a way), because our destiny is resting on a team losing tomorrow. If they lose overall, we make it to the championship.

Back on the Sabres:

We need to find a taller bridge. I honestly think I could survive a plunge off the Peace Bridge. Maybe the American Falls side, or Rainbow bridge?

The only think that bothers me is the players throwing it back in the fans faces about the cheering on the AZ goal.

They can go out and compete all they want. but the whole idea as they are using it as motivation to win to "Stick it to the fans" is going to create a lot of problems in the future if they do wind up 29th.


I'm not overly worried yet as I expect Arizona to get 1-2 points out of their 10 possible

I was really happy when Toronto was up 3-1. I thought out of all the games that we had left, that would be the one we would win. So when we were losing, I was elated.

Then Cody Hodgson had to ruin it for me and put some life back in the team by scoring 30 seconds later to make it 3-2. I've actually defended Hodgson most of the season, but today he may be my least favorite person

My point is that he's still a very good player. He would have been 2nd to a guy that's a generational talent. Would I prefer the generational talent instead? Absolutely. But I'm not going to turn my nose up at a guy that's still going to have a very good career, IMO.
