Let's stay on topic, what a win for the Rangers last night.
So many encouraging signs but none more encouraging than Hank looking like Hank already. He was so good early on, when the Rangers weren't, and he continued to look strong all night long. Winnipeg put a lot of pressure on the Rangers and shot from almost everywhere.
Big win, gets them that much closer to a division title. |

never suspended for an on ice incident though - jimbro83
That was true, but certainly took liberties. Look, we all know EVERY team at one time or another has had guys who took cheap shots, Pens fans certainly should be the last people complaining about others. |

Nothing better to discuss this morning, in Pens Land, I suppose. |

Another two more wins clinches it. With St. Louis returning tomorrow I am confident they can do it in the next three games. |

Just read Newsday & Zipay doesn't even have a mention of the Buff/Miller incident. |

Ridiculous, haven't seen something so blatantly intending to injure all season than what Byfuglien did to Miller last night. The liberties he took on Zuccarello made me just as mad.
Guess he was annoyed he didn't get his extra helping of pre-game pork chops. |

They should win the 2 Devil games, no excuses. Even if they finish 3-3 here, its all good, maybe not for the President's Trophy but I'm not totally hung up on them having to win that. |

is anyone else surprise Sheppard hasnt been taking many draws? i thought part of the reason for getting him was his faceoff ability... why not use that if he is supposed to be pretty good?
on another note, what a goal by krieder last night. i mean holly cow! that was a premier goal. would love to see him takeoff after that... |

1 seed still looking good too. Don't like saying games are easy BUT...jersey twice should be layups. Cbj is playing well but there not desperate for anything. By the time the play Ottawa again they could be eliminated. 4 wins out of 6 seems like enough to get 1 seed? |

would rather play WAS than BOS... so if BOS gets in i dont want to win presidents trophy.. if OTT wins, would rather play them. |

We should curb the food references. Might get Puffy Pete fired up. |

I am completely unconcerned with the President's Trophy. What concerns me more is who they will draw in the first round. As of now they can possibly face any of these teams to start the postseason: Capitals, Bruins, Red Wings, Penguins or Islanders.
All are within a few points of each other so it is hard to clearly state which team they will draw. |

I can see the Rangers finishing up with the same amount of points they ended up with in 11-12: 109.
Two games against Jersey and one each against Washington, Minnesota, Columbus and Ottawa.
I can see a 4-2 finish but they are running into some desperate teams and teams with nothing to play for which means they will be loose. A loose team can be dangerous. Like Brian stated earlier, I can live with 3-3 in these remaining regular season games while obviously being happier with more. |

Perhaps, I am confident with whoever they draw but something about that Saturday Bruins game worries me if a potential first round match up takes place. Not to say Boston is better than the Rangers, because I don't think that is the case, but the officials will let them get away with muggery of the highest order. If Boston is allowed to take liberties, without paying the price, the series will get a lot more interesting than it should be. |

I have a sneaking suspicion this are the matchups
1/8 Rangers red wings
2/7 Habs Islanders
2/3 Pitt Washington
2/3 TB Boston |

the last game of the season in Washington is very likely to be more important to the Caps than the Rangers. I think finishing 3-3 with 109 points is pretty good bet. |
